I was given test beans by BCBD of their Animal Cookies (GSC x Fire OG) to run, along with probably a dozen or so other growers. Out of all the AC journals I saw, I'm the only grower to get any female plants at all, and the plants that others did get were out-of-control stretchy. Most folks removed them from their gardens quickly. (I wish I had)! I did get some females, but what I got...well, I still don't know what it was!

Clearly, the plants that grew bore no resemblance to ANY cookies strain I've ever seen! The buds were loose, airy, and finished up looking like hell. Zero flavor and I'd rate the potency just very slightly above commercial mexi-garbage. I was embarrassed to have these plants in my garden! They didn't like anything I did for them. They were very difficult to grow, and a total waste of time and money! In case you think it was something I did wrong, this is a pic of a G-13 Blueberry Gum that grew right beside them...

IMO, BCBD just swept the floor and slapped an Animal Cookies sticker on them and out the door they went! If I had paid for these beans I would be fucking furious!!! I feel so bad for all the poor unsuspecting people who shelled out their hard-earned cash for this shit!

I guess my question is...unless a breeder is just blatently ripping people off, how could something like this happen? Even if you tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, it's hard to see how the plants I got could have come from either the GSC or the Fire OG! I'm not seeing any of either strain in this cross. Is it just me? Their God Bud is another good example! It used to be an AMAZING strain! True, you had to search a little to get THE pheno...but when you found it...you were set! Now, the God has been completely ruined! It's not even the same plant at all IMO. I also ran a BC sweet tooth of theirs that was not even close to being a sweet tooth. It's really too bad! If Matt had run the business honestly, it could have been the top of the market, IMO. Instead, they're famous for shit service and now shit genetics.

BCBD is just one example of this kind of deceptive...NAY...fraudulent business practices that have become the norm for some in the marketplace. THANK GOD for reputable, honest breeders such as BOG! I know you'd rather shoot yourself than fuck somebody like this! I guess the QWISO hash kicked in and I ran on a bit, but it just really pisses me off! I guess this is the kind of thing I was really hoping you'd chime in on! Best, -Max :wacky:

I was digging thru some old stuff hunting info on a particular...and run cross this puppy BOG...she was done quite a few years back...the Sour Bubble dad seed stock come from BCBD on some kind of close out thing, and my germ rate was poor with them...(poor packaging)..I ended up with only a good-looking male from the batch and dumped his splooge on a Purp pheno found in a batch of Purp seed from the same place, trying to get at least a bean or 2 to run, to try and re-coupe a couple dollars....I hope to run a couple Sour Bubble of yours soon again, as it produced a great looking dad from what I can remember..Thanks for keeping yourself real with your work and not giving in to the fast buck with watered down unstable crosses...your dedication to quality shows in your work...good luck on your future here at the farm...delete these if need be...I just found them plundering thru some notes, and it took me on a trip down memory lane...B

yup i do agree fem seeds are !BAD!.NOT JUST FOR MALE FLOWERS ETC. but if you only have a really small space.LIKE ME! JUST A TENT GROWER.i have 3,like but not ALL,for budding! sometimes i need to fill a space so if ive got a decent fem strain i like ill pop it! its mainly SPACE! i.e not enough room to get 2,more veg plants in.but 1!.SOO. thats MAINLY were fems come in for me:-) and theres dna whom?idk! they must have got sick of other companys using their gear + giving no props etc. NOW I LOVE MOST DNA GEAR BLA BBLAH! but they only put fems out.+ con genetics! ive been loyall to buying mainly their RAINBOW JONES STRAIN. but ive ran a lot of their gear + its mainly fem.IVE NEVER HAD A RAINBOW JONES FEM PLANT PUT A SINGLE MALE STAMEN OUT ON ME:-) kudos to ojd + t.cb.and ive popped 40 of the r.j now! 8, packs.not 1,problem! sorry!just saying.oh + of course if anyone wants to bless me with a fire strain in only fem seed!ILL HAPPILY ACCEPT:-)lol.j.k

oh HELL NO:-)LOL. i really wasnt ADVOCATING FEM SEEDS BOG. im no breeder dude.thats a PROFFESIONALL FORTEA!so to speak.oh ive got freinds on here whom make killer crosses.BUT TO HAVE IT ALL LOCKED DOWN LIKE YOU! no. you dont ,source your work out!i.e pass clones to everyone else to make the seeds!.most companys do it now!i wont name any but if u want me to:-)lol. jk. i couldnt imagine only fem seeds.THAT WOULD BE A SAD,SAD DAY FOR CANNABIS BOG:-).

Just a few more reasons I'm PROUD to be runnin BOG gear. You guys are awesome. I have 7 strains goin right now and only ONE strain from a breeder other than BOG or ROC. American made, by good folks who are more concerned with the genetics and treatin peeps right, than the fuckin $$$...LOVE it BOG and Mrs. BOG...don't change a thing! MGG
