@Power OG , @Tnelz , @Gamrstwin36 you all are some awesome cats. i asked one question and boom a hundred legit answers! you guys rock man. @irishboiii i hope you got a pen and pad bro because they are laying down some pure unadulterated knowledge for your eyeballs. thanks guys. i mean i know its in yalls nature but for real you guys go above and beyond anything asked of yall and damn im proud to be brothers with yall. hope everything smooths out irish. but biggest piece of advice i can give is....BREATH. this is a fun hobby/lifestyle but dont let worry strip you of that fun/happiness.
again thanks guys im sure he is super thankful. peace out yall

Oh you guys have no idea how much I appriciate all of the advice and help. Id honestly be lost without you guys!

I am enjoying this although some things do make me panic and get frustrated. Im a lot more relaxed now though.

Quick update btw, they are already beginning to give off an odour! Nothing major, but if I close the bedroom door for a while and then open it, a strong smell hits me in the face lol.

Such a shame we must hide these smells, they are beautiful!

Makes me wonder though, I may need to add the carbon filter in sooner than expected!

lmao go read back the first few pages of my log......:bag::asshat:
i was freaking out. no lie power and hem can tell you. but shit you gotta have fun and WANT to research solutions to your problem. because not everytime is someone gonna be there to help as fast. but i can tell from your first posts to now you have started to breath so just continue to do so. questions only get answered when asked. good luck bro. do as these nice gentlemen said and in a couple days shoot a couple pics to let us know if shes going right for ya. and yes put the cups they are in into another glass. one that shades the roots. that way you can pull one cup from the other to check out roots but still have em covered when you are done.

you always have people there? if not id save up for a good one. make sure before you order too. no need to rush unless you thinks is a major issue. be safe first. but you really dont want issues when its time and you need it. your shop you order from seems like a bunch of fucks. so be safe and plan ahead.

Oh I already have the fan and filter, just didnt think Id need to use em until after switching to 12/12

Btw guys I added this tube to my hempy buckets and sealed around it with blu tack so that I can catch the runoff in containers. Is this ok to do?

MAKE ME 45 ofem lol. thats cool bro. i wouldve went a lil lower but thats just my taste. you must understand that we all have our OWN tastes with this hobby here. We all SWEAR THIS AND THAT. but end of the day its about what WE ARE COMFY with. so id say rock it out. whats your plans for drain gonna let it drain ina pan ? looks sweet.
Respect

Thanks pal, the hole looks high because about 1 inch at the bottom of the bucket is just an extra bit. The hole is exactly 2" from the actual bottom of the bucket.

I plan on using cut up milk cartons to catch the runoff.

I just rinsed the perlite and it was a BITCH. I used a strong shopping bag with many holes made in the bottom but they kept clogging up so I had to keep piercing more holes and squeezing the water out.

Is there an easy way to do it? I gave it like 5 or 6 rinse throughs but will have to do more because Im low on coco so may have to do a 50/50 mix.

To rinse perlite...I use a 5 gallon bucket, 1/8" holes drilled in the bottom... fill the bucket with perlite and add water, when the water runs clear, use it...

btw, in organic soil mixes I don't rinse my perlite...although I do wet it while it's in the bag to keep the dust down while working with it...

Just noticed my first pest, Iv never seen an insect like this before! Its like a tiny fly, but is bright red like blood. What the hell is it? lol

And should I be concerned? It was just one but Im worried that more might show up

Thanks man

So today is a beautiful day so I have them on my bed with direct sunlight on them. Should save a bit on electricity while also giving them some natural light.

As you can see, the bottom right one is growing at a MUCH slower rate than the rest.

Im transplanting in a few hours and am considering throwing out the smallest plant due to it being RIDICULOUSLY slow compared to the rest. It may not look so bad in the overhead pic, but in person its a midget compared to the rest, and is two sets of leaves behind.

What do you guyp think?

Ok guys quick update and quite an entertaining story lmao:

So I go into the grow room to grab some stuff to prepare for the transplant. Next thing a fly flies straight into my face. Startled, my foot slips and next thing you know, the plants are knocked to the ground, coco everywhere, and plants looking in bad shape.

Thankfully, none were broken at any stem or anything. However, I had to act FAST!

Didnt have time to rince the coco so instead I just put it all into the 3gal buckets and made up 4 gallons of 5.8 PH & 250PPM-300PPM nutrient solution to precharge the coco.

I ran a gallon through each of the 3gal buckets and got over a litre of runoff from each.

I know none of this is ideal, but do you think they will be ok?

Man you should have seen me run around the apartment in a panic, pumping litres of sweat lmao

1st Dude are you ok and second did you see good roots and as long as you are ok the plants will take from you what they need sounds like ya did what ya needed to so good job...
Just keep close and watch the stalk or stem site where ya transplanted them too IE the soon to be trunk of your soon to be Tree . . . . . .
FlyJ

Im ok yeah, still sweating though. My bedroom is a mess from rushing the coco into the buckets though. My kitchens a mess from water. Im just not having a good day today lmao
