Learning how to use coco, and getting familiar with that line of nutes, has been incognito's nemesis for the last 3 months.
He is determined to succeed and I can't wait till he does so we can make him do something else hard, like growing in jello :)

When using high wattage MH ' or HPS I like to have a fan directed just under the light and across the canopy. You also might want to consider a light diffuser. They really do work. I have one on my 600 watt HPS.

Item Details
The ALL NEW Super-Spreader combines common sense and innovation with advancements in effective surface technology to produce a truly Super Light Spreader! The new design is attractive, lightweight and easy to install. The 'Spreader Heads' are made from 97% reflective glass-coated aluminum with a prismatic micro-textured surface.

This incredible alloy is super cool, very reflective and creates even light distribution. The prismatic surface reflects and redirects light in a selective 4-way pattern for incredible results!

How & Why They Work! The design of the Super Spreader is based on logic and simplicity. All horizontal reflectors create an over hot, over bright spot directly beneath the lamp. The Super-Spreader spreads the excess light and heat proportionally to all areas of the grow room (especially the corners and edges which are often underlit). This creates even light and more harmonious growing conditions throughout the entire grow room.

NOTE: By attaching the Super-Spreader accessory, the Adjust-A-Wings performance may be enhanced significantly.

Adjust-A-Wings fitted with Super-Spreader can be lowered to an unprecedented 10"-12" from growing plants to produce awesome growing power while maintaining maximum area coverage and minimum heat build-up. Yield increases of up to 50% are not uncommon with proper use of this truly outstanding product.

That's s good idea, idk if I can fit it on my xxxl magnum hood. I'll have to look into it. Now that you mention it the most affected plant was directly below the bulb.

Hmmm, jello? I could make a nutrient rich jello substance and plant seeds directly in the block....lol the new hydro... Jelldro

Jelldro! lmao that would be hilarious. Actually now that I think about it..... look at this! It's a product called gel2root. It looks pretty cool
Gel2root

Coco is not like soill/soilless, and you're right don't ever give it pure water as that will mess up the cation balance in the medium. A diluted nutrient solution is a better choice than pure water for coco as it should always be fed. The easiest way to get nutrient build up in coco is letting it dry out like soil. It's best kept moist at all times. The higher frequency feeding also allows for more oxygen to the roots.

they stole my idea!!!!! Damn...
I thought my dumb as came up with something new lol..

True but I think they've only gone as far as to use it for clones. We can have Incogneato pioneer the path to Jelldro! Nutrient applications would be through injection? hahahaha I want to see a full grow from start to finish with gel.

Well the eggs turned out good. No queasy like with brownies. Actually it's a lot more enjoyable this time. Maybe cause I'm at my house and I'm just in my element. Beating a Lil Haystak and just working around the crib.
I do however need to quit starting more than one thing at a time lol...

Challenge accepted lol. Kidding, let me get this coco thing together first. :drunk2:

Glad the eggs came out good! Probably more of a dose thing than anything else. I will say for me environment plays a big part in how I feel when lifted :smoking:
Oh ya. Your running your hood with the glass off... might work then
Actually didn't take the glass off, just not air cooling the hood right now

The Super Spreader diffuser mounts very flush to the bulb and I know will work fine with the glass in to air cool the light with all sodium bulbs. Using MH and some hoods might not work out. I think a diffuser works best without the glass below it. I'm turning into a total LED grower as it evolves not having those issues anymore.
Wanted to share this with you being a Nectar for the Gods user. You have been talking about NPK numbers and wanted to show this change in one of there main components. When I started using NFTG back in July the Hurculean Harvest Phosphate value was 10. Now it is 6

Plus I wanted to suggest looking into more of the NFTG components. I think the Mega Morpheus is a much more sustainable Guano then what you are currently using and more compatible.:)

Keep up the nice work!:)

I definitely appreciate the help with the nftg. I wanted mega morpheus but my shop doesn't carry much of the line. Im gonna see what the shop on my way to work has but for now at least I have something. I would like to use all of the same line since I know it was designed to work together. When I get back to the bat cave I'm gonna see what my npk is on the herc. I actually need to get more soon, it goes fast

I need another one myself, and a t5 for my veg tent lol. I didn't get the low profile one so I only paid $175 for mine without the bulb
See i need the low profile because next summer its in the basement and i only got 71 inches to work with! my buckets are 16" tall. What is the width or height i should say of yours compared to the low profile? I know they are nice.. I seen them at the hydro shop. he wants 329 or something.... Ive seen them for 240 or so online a few times.. I was concerned about how heavy they would be on the tent. My enclosed hood and fan and filter ended up warping my 4x4 tent where it was more like a 3x3 cause it sucked in so bad... Thats one of the reasons i went with open hoods. Now im trying to decide on another vented hood like yours OR 2 air cooled tubes with ajust a wings and 2 of them light spreader diffuser we were talking about earlier that dude recommended.. Orca i think.. cant remember.. lol

Ya @Orcaman mentioned it earlier..
