Yup like how to market it for money... granted they do have some accurate info and plenty of partial info that kinda bent towards marketing. They have won over 70 cannabis cups so they might be onto something.
Growers have used blue light end of flower for at least 4 decades. I agree that might help. But they claim LEDs and autos make better quality is simply not true. How many of their 70 awards were from autoflowers grown under LEDs?Yup like how to market it for money... granted they do have some accurate info and plenty of partial info that kinda bent towards marketing.
The best marketing mixes truths and half truths for monetary gain. I'll stick to the scientific peer reviewed studies over the blogs but your not wrong. They do provide some truth.
Yeah I agree... and I agree with the blue including uv at specific times.Growers have used blue light end of flower for at least 4 decades. I agree that might help. I like to replace the 100w hlg with a 100w MH for the last few days. Also leaveing the big fan leaves on protects resin and terps.Yeah I agree... and I agree with the blue including uv at specific times.
I missed the part where they said autos make better quality but autos have come along way, right up there in potency with photos. Yeild is where autos fall short. Although there are some growers that claiming to get over a half pound consistently.Growers have used blue light end of flower for at least 4 decades. I agree that might help. Agree, companies that been around since the 80s usually are legit. Alot of marketing for sure.Yup like how to market it for money... granted they do have some accurate info and plenty of partial info that kinda bent towards marketing.

Hello colleagues. I have been working with hps lights for a long time and I would like to gradually change to LED. Would you share your impressions of the difference in the yield of HPS vs LED quality, yields and electricity consumption. I focused on the Lumitex LED 600w pro. Thanks for the comments. Regards
What study? Was it conducted by marshydro? can you provide a link?I missed the part where they said autos make better quality but autos have come along way, right up there in potency with photos. It could be argued that led does produce better quality. There was a guy that ran clones one under led other under under cmh. Testing concluded that led had higher thc the cmh had higher terpenes, he couldnt notice a difference but led yeilded noticeably more.
I have a small test going now with led compared to hps. I had 5 identical clones from a Bubble Bomb mother I grew 4 under t5's and 1 under a SF1000..At flip I put 2 under a 1000w hps and the other scroged under a SE3000. They are @ about 4 weeks in flower and the buds under the led is very close in size as those under the hps. I didn't do this as a test per say it just happened to end up this way. I put the other 2 in flower 2 weeks later.Yup like how to market it for money... granted they do have some accurate info and plenty of partial info that kinda bent towards marketing.

Good read but pretty flawed.LEC vs LED Grow Lights: Side-by-Side Cannabis Grow Journal | Grow Weed Easy
by Nebula Haze This grow journal features two indoor cannabis gardens that are identical except for one thing: the grow light! See a match-up between LEDs vs LEC grow lights. If you’re unfamiliar, LEC is a brand name by Sun System. LECs are also known as CMH grow lights. I have to admit, I was...www.growweedeasy.com
Its very well put together
Happy Thanksgiving
Good read but pretty flawed.
The test was a 300w HLG flower light vs a 315w CMH veg light. The keep both lights at the same distance so the cmh was getting less light than the HLG. They should have used a 400w HPS flower light to compare.
Interesting the cmh made better trichs and terps but less thc.
I have a standard when it comes to change , I have not seen an LED produce 2lbs per light ...7 plants per light in a 4x8 scrog . Double ended hps I've done it . I know the high quality LEDs are almost $1000 bucks for 1000 watt equivalent led to hps.. I'm not ready to change yet it depends on size of grow I suppose .Hello colleagues. I've traded my 2 DE HPS hoods up 2 years ago, and haven't looked back. I can harvest essentially the same results with about 700 watts of power, much less heat, and actually manage an inside grow during the heat of the summer months. No doubt LED's vary, I've used dozens of different lights over the years.I have a standard when it comes to change , I have not seen an LED produce 2lbs per light ...7 plants per light in a 4x8 scrog . I see however your swell and size increase should excelletate after week 5 on my 63 day cycle so your last 3 weeks maybe 4 I bet the 1000 watt HPS buds are more dence and bigger .just my opinion I could be wrong. 1st two are led...
I got you I'm running 10k watts so I suppliment winter air and don't have a heat problem till late spring I'm now in a stae with longer hot ass summers so sealing the room is going to have to happen . ..mini split ac units or 1000 dollar LEDs 10 grand to change lights , half to cool with a and seal room use little more CO2. Until the high quality LEDs come down in price I probably won't changeI've traded my 2 DE HPS hoods up 2 years ago, and haven't looked back. That's something I wouldn't even touch with HPS, cause I would need another 2000 watts for cooling.
My guess is LED would do a great 8; 10 or 12 foot tall grow, if the spectrums were correct and the intensity were there. Once UV A+B is added into the mix, your really sitting nice. I look at LED as an investment, cause the money back in electric over time, plus they last 50,000 hours or more.
I've got LED's I purchased prior to 2010 that are still growing flowers, with friends who've taken on the lights. They've paid for themselves over the years, and still give more.
LmaoIf we talking gram per watt it's not even a contest. Since I love crayons let compare it like this.
You go into a job interview and all you had were crayons to write your resume... you proudly hand it in with a big smile, hoping they like all the pretty colors and you made that extra effort only to use the red ones last.
We will call this proud young man Harry Potter Sampson
Please tell me you see what I did there
So yeah that's the GRAM PER WATT comparison as I'm sure Mr.LED needs no further description.
It's just not even debatable. But as always I'm open for discussion and not opposed to having my foot shoved down my throat if anyone can explain otherwise.
I'm confused with crayon method so the led the way you grow produced more than hps under same conditions?Lmao
Are you getting close to 2 lbs a light . That's the standard these days but I had 20 raptors in my basement with hotilux single end bulbs and got 2 lbs per light of fire, headband and ECSD so if you have 2 lights , yeild is very important , you agree ?I've traded my 2 DE HPS hoods up 2 years ago, and haven't looked back. DE units are great, but my LEDs are just as good, I would argue as good, or better, plus less than half the energy. Or I would have pulled them back out, already. Just actually packed some of that shit out of the house in the last few months, cause I don't need it anymore, and I held onto it, not knowing for sure.
