36 hours seems like a long time to flush in this system. They're gonna be hungry as hell afterwards! lol

yea i might add some nutes, now, did doubleds drain his then refill?

He flushes with ro water for 2 hours, drains and then flush for another 4 hours, drains and then refills and adds nutes. I'm pretty sure that's his method. I need to confirm so i'll try to find out where it's at in one of the threads. There's so many threads I have no idea where all the specific info is lol. It's all good stuff, though. Just gotta search through it all.

When its time to change res (1ce a week for 1st 4 weeks) I completely drain the system and refill it with fresh ph'd water. I let that run in the system for 2 hours.
Drain the system and do the same again for 4 hours. Refill the sytem with fresh water again. Then i add the nutes.

haha i knew it was in there. I let the water go 24hrs, then i just nute'd up that water. i think if anything it was from too much koolbloom, just show you how much more nutes the plant can absorb in this system, my ppm havent been above 900

i think i remember that krusty gave nutes for 5 days then 2days of straight water.

thanks DHF, i couldnt believe that DD made that DIY thread and I didnt see anyone copy it. I've been following DD for over a yr now. I tried a modified krusty set up without a chiller and lost an whole harvest and wasted 4months, massive cash out, none in. so i was really nervous to do this system. I only did one room to start, but from that failure i realized what makes these systems work and to have great respect for it.


this system is silly, insane, outta control. buy diapers, becasuse everytime you walk into your room your gonna shit your pants. i cant see growing any other way now. i couldnt imagen if i added co2

Hey DHF, do you know where Heath's been hiding? Wish he was allowed to hang here. He totally inspired my move to vertical when I first started. Mad respect for his skills and willingness to help folks. Very much like DDS.

Well again I disagree with deadheadfred,kbsers did not flush that long. What are you trying to accomplish?You would change the chem balance in your plant flushing that long. Keeping that water you flushed in makes no sense. It is waste by-product. If you guys ever get a few extra fun tickets you should check out cardy meters which checks out whats is going on in the plant. JK

i feel like that 24hrs of water gave the roots a break from the salt bath, there isnt a single discolored or yellowing leaf in the whole room so i wasnt worried about starving them. things are looking awesome. i added another airstone in each bucket as well. cant wait to set up my other room to a 6plant system

Yo Dizzle do you have two container's in those pic's? Looks like you've got one on top of another. How tall is that total and what is the total amount of volume. I'm just starting a run with 27 gl mini res and was just wondering the volume that your running. Also how often you flushing? I'm around ten days or so or if the plants start drinking a lot.

hahaaha they are green led's xmas lights i stopped trusting those green partybulbs, but i just bought a green led bluetooth ear thing from C.A.P. that is fucking awesome.

baker-2ft tall, 2-27gal tubs on top of each other with a 3 gall bucket sitting in the top tubs, there is about 15gals of water in them, the bottom tub is just to raise it but i will be changing it into something lower to the ground next run. im changing the res about everyweek or so and im giving it 24hr of water in between
