I haven't had any problems today since I moved a fan that was directly below it. I hope it was just a draft that was blowing it out instead of something else. I'll get the upgrade kit, regardless. Who knows how much water I wasted with it running and not ignited. I bought the hydrogen last Summer and only hooked it up for the first time recently. Wish the pro was available then.

I'd get the hydrogen pro in case you end up with a bigger space down the road.

Easypleasie is my hero

Very nice start on the bloom easypleasie. Gonna be a real treat to watch some trees blow up in such a clean room... I could imagine dangling from the ceiling like mission impossible trimming leaves.... :D

Nice job senor pleasie. Can you imagine walking into your room to check on shit and finding someone dangling from the ceiling trimming your leaves?

Ok, that's it for now...anyone actually reading this? lol

Are you kidding me? Of course we are reading this!
Your data is the shiz-nit! :rauch08:
I can't thank you enough for your share here with everybody.
This is some awesome specific info that will help me immensely with my room. I am sure that you have already saved me from a few hard lessons.

Hope you get the Hydrogen unit to behave itself. I went and picked up a CAP gen-1 to run. I'll report if it works out well.

Thanks for following along guys. Ya'll keep me on my toes! If I can make it through a full harvest without major issues, i'll be stoked!

Don't give me any crazy ideas, Shady lol Now If I could train a monkey, that could make life easier lol. But seriously, I haven't had much to do other than monitor everything. I check the drains daily and tuck leaves/branches through the cage and that's it. I'm not trimming any leaves this run, just tucking.

I'm trying to simplify the res change out process so still tinkering with that.

I thought I had the co2 thing working fine but it shut off again last night. I might get another burner instead of messing with tanks...more money to spend. Things are mission critical so I need to get this shit straight real quick!

Hey easy,
Shit's looking off the hook.
For rez change's I have made mine pretty easy.
Instead of the bypass valve by the back flow being all one piece.
I put the back flow in the feed line and then after that it T's off.
1 side going to the tub's. And 1 side with a on\off valve and a hose going back to the rez.
Then I have a 1 inch hose that drains outside. I turn off the chiller. Unplug the feed line pump and the chiller pump.
Pull the return chiller hose out of the rez and hook it to the drain hose going outside.
Then I plug the chiller pump only back in. And it dumps the rez for me.
once the rez is 1\3 empty I open the bypass valve and the mini rez's drain back in the rez.
And the pump dumps it.
I think it helps clean the inside of the chiller too. Especially after the plain water flush each weak.

Hope this give you some ideas.

Thanks for the tips, bro. Nice efficient process you have there. I like the use of the chiller pump to drain. My main feed line is setup the same way as yours with a T and ball valve. Really does make things simpler.

I'm doing something similar with my res change but I have a separate pump that hooks up to a 3/4" ball valve that I cut into the res. I put it as low as possible so there's only about an inch of solution left when drained.

The thing i'm trying to streamline is adding the nutes. Right now, I have to mix nutes twice to fill the mini-res's and 70 gallon res...which btw actually only holds about 50 gallons. The system fully running holds around 80-100 gallons. I have two 50 gallon drums of RO at room temp...I use my other chiller to cool the RO water so it's already cold when it goes in the res. If I had the room for a 100 gallon mixing tank, that would make things soooo much easier.

How is everyone else mixing their nutes?

Yeah LB, that damn burner is really starting to annoy me so it's getting the boot!

lol LB, coming soon to a theater near you :)

Hey burn, the upgrade kit replaces the batteries that are used to ignite the burner. Plugs into the wall instead. It also does something that re-strikes in case the flame goes out. This is for the old hydro innovations hydrogen units. The new hydrogen pro has this standard.

Btw, my hydrogen has been working great again. I haven't had any problems for over a week since I moved both the fans away from below it. Definitely a draft problem along with tuning in the right amount of gas and water flow. I have the co2 tank in the room and ready to go if it starts crapping out again.

I will be trying 3.5 gallon buckets next run. The 10" netpots are completely full of roots and the top feed won't drain fast enough...even with it barely trickling out. I turned off the top feed and need to put in a cycle timer asap.

I'm thinking about adding new drain holes since the buckets will sit deeper into the bins. Should reduce the total amount of nute solution by 13-15 gallons.

I'll be back later with pics. Already took them, just need to do some resizing. Gotta go put the cycle timer on the top feed before I forget...don't wanna pull a dizzle lol. j/k bro!

Easy,
are your net pots the all mesh kind or the bottom mesh kind?
Is it possible to get by for this run, to ventilate the existing pots with extra holes while in place?

Loudblunts is right by the way, it is ez show withdrawl time. I was just thinking that the other day.

Got my fix.

Tf, I'm not using the all mesh netpots. They sat higher up in my mini-res. Mine have mesh on the bottom inch of the netpot and I also drilled a bunch of extra holes. All the holes are clogged full of roots. I'm wondering if the fast top flow made the roots bunch up more or not. Roots seemed to get a serious growth boost after each flush.

I don't want to damage anything trying to cut into the netpots. Not worth attempting at this point. I'll just change the top feed schedule as I can't slow the top feed drip any more than I already have.

looking nice and healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and i love those shots bro...

excuse my ignorance, but panoramic? telescope? wide angle? fish eye? or is that all the same?

LB, i'm using both a wide angle and fisheye. The fisheye is basically a super wide angle lens. It really warps the sides of the photos but it's the only way I can take full room shots. I guess the panoramic is the same thing as a fisheye... but a telescope though? lol that's for looking into space :)

I just got the cycle timer hooked up and even at a slow trickle, my middle plant fills up after two minutes. I'm gonna try running it 1 minute on every two hours. This way, my white fire girl can get watered with the top feed from the system. It just drains into a bucket that gets reused in my outside garden. So far, i'm liking the simplicity of the hydroton/coco chow mix.

Lights were also lowered and moved in a little since the photos were taken. I'm not gonna have much room once the buds start packing on weight and leaning in towards the lights.
