so I got a few pm's about these ballasts and im just getting to them lol.one guy asked me to answer in open forum about them so here is my take.i like these ballasts because they are small and are also 600 waters.the fact they are dimmable is just a bonus, but in my op I do have spots where the plants get tight and I cant raise my lights in a few places.when my plants get to where I have pinched and bent and they still crowd the bulbs I have no problem turning my ballasts down to 400watt for a few weeks.i still get nice colas and I think it helps them not get scorched or get all foxtailed out.
I also use these @ 400 watts in a few corners where im just looking for some weak spot coverage not primary lighting.as of today I have 16 lights total and im putting 2 x 600 metal halides in 2 corners where I used to have 400hps.ill get slightly more lumens and a better spectrum in that part of my room so ima check it out for a few runs.
I also keep a spare ballast on hand in case an older one fails like just happened this week and having dimmables gives me a spare no matter which ballast fails.couple times I have had power failures from storms I run just 8 or 9 lights at 50% power off my generator(all my nextgens and nanolux are generator ready)and it keeps my cycle going and gives me plaenty of power to also run my house, well, fridge, furnace, and veg room t5's.those are some pluses I see with these, peace:cool:

well i have a few but i mostly use a honda 6500w for my grow.but i only use it when we lose power,it would cost you a fortune to run your grow off gen power full time.and unless your way out in the boonies your neighbors will think your weird lol.but the hondas are much quieter than any other gen i have used, mine will idle down to match load so its decent on fuel.

Yep. I just walked down to my barn. So fogie and humid I felt all wet when I got back to the house. I wish it would cool off just a little, like highs of 45 - 50.

Nice hunting my friend! Its finally snowing here in Colorado after setting another record high of 78 degrees yesterday. I hope its now coming your way! How does your deer taste where you live? Most hunters here just make sausage and jerky from the mule deer here based on there diet consisting of a lot of sage. Years ago when I lived in the foothills here on 14 acers I let a bow hunter legally take an elk. It was his first kill and I loved after he and an experienced hunting friend of his cut up the animal on site presented me and my wife some of the best cuts from that cow elk. Tasty stuff!:)
Here's to the true blessings of this earth! One with mother nature!

Imo Diet makes a huge difference in taste. Cedar swamp buckes from up north taste like shit compared to grass and grain fed in the lower.

yeah my place sits right next to 1000 acres of corn and soybeans so they are pretty fuckin tastey here

i have shot a few bigger bucks over the years that were gamey and we used most of it for sausage and ground burger for stuff like tacos and spaghgetti ect.

Mule deer meat is great you just got to know how to process,no fat, thats where the gamey taste comes from IMO.We add in beef or pork fat for our sausage.
