Ok, a midweek update on what's going on in the back ground. 2 cuttings were taken from the Critical Kush, and 1 from the Juan Herer two weeks ago, and are now ready to bucket up.

The two on the left are the Critical Kush's, the one on the right is the Juan Herer cutting.

As you can see, all have some good roots, all of which are dunking there roots into the water to feed. Looking good.

This is the Juan Herer in it's new home in veg, but the time it's big sister has flowered, this tiny cutting will be there after 2 months in veg to fill the gap.

The Super Lemon Haze is was put into flush on Wednesday, so it should be ready for harvest in a weeks time, it's about 50% amber, so we'll see what happens in a week, don't think the harvest will be mind blowing on weight, but it should be a good smoke, the buds are rock solid and medium sized, and from a plant that no body gave a chance has made it, so the total loss has come good. Which makes me smile. :) It's been dropped from the 3 plant line up due to it's habit of herming quite bad, this wouldn't be a problem if the 3 plants were all the same strain and run, but when your growing only 3 with different attributes, you can't afford to have a rogue fertilising your other plants, if I want seeds I'll buy them. So it's sacked. Another plant will be added at a later date to recreate the 3 separate strains, but for now we will be running the two we have at the moment until another 3rd sourced, we have seeds to go at, but there may be an outdoor grow instead of what we are doing at the moment. So that's it for this midweek update.
Keep Toking Dudes! :smoking:

Here we go again, another enthralling episode of a Small Grow For Nubies. :) Well, where to start. The Super Lemon Haze drying, it has been replaced by another Juan Herer(5), every thing is purring along, no problems with any of the 3 plants, it won't stay that way for long, so I'll make the most of it while it lasts.:D

Critical Kush.
PH 6.O before.
PH 5.8 after.
PPM 546 before.
PPM 699 after.
Added.
10ml Cannazyme = 10
5ml Agent = 74
5ml A and B Flores = 69

Juan Herer (4)
PH 5.9 before.
PH 5.8 after.
PPM 625 before.
PPM 697after.
Added.
10ml Cannazyme = 10
3ml A and B Flores = 47
1ml Agent = 15

Juan Herer (5) First day of flower.
-
PH 5.8
-
PPM 532

And that rounds this update up, keep toking folks. :smoking:

The Super Lemon Haze is ready to jar, been hung for a week, the jar will be opened every day for half a hour a day for a week to finish the final dry, and then it should be ready to cure. I like my weed a liitle damp in the stalk when I jar it, not wet, not dry, but not enough moisture to cause any mould, if you know what I mean. I find it tastes and smells a lot better, and is worth the extra work involved in doing it this way.

Harvest for the Super Lemon Haze is around one and a half ounces, not bad to say it struggled from the start, would have been happier with two ounces. :)

I've tried all ways over the years, because I only grow 3 plants in flower, the method suits the way I grow, and the amounts I deal with, plus I like sifted hash, so the gallon jar burping lends it's self to that too, when the trim is treated the same.

No doubt. I did it that way my last 2 times and it works well. Especially if you have lower rh. This run i had 10 jars and the burping starts to get annoying lol. I did the 60°/60% for 14 days and then into jars. It really cut down on my burping and still gave me a great product. Not gonna lie i was nervously checking them a few times a day during that 14 days lol.

Nervously checking about sums it up, only once I've had the buds go mouldy, and I was gutted, so I stick to what works, and don't miss a burp. I only have three plants at any one time in flower, so it's only a ball ache when they all end at the same time, which is rare with 3 separate strains.

I dont blame you. More than one way to get good results. I say go with what works for you. It would suck to go through all the time and effort to grow these beautiful buds just to throw them away. How did that Juan Herer compare to Jack Herer?

Here we go again, all three plants are cracking on, no problems as yet, just the way I like it. :) The Critical Kush is thundering along, just finished week four on the 10th, and is now on it's way into week 5. The other two plants, Juan Herer 4 and 5 are doing well, Juan Herer 4 is now heading into week 5, and it sibling is heading into week 2.

Critical Kush.
PH 5.8 before.
PH 5.8 after.
PPM 571 before.
PPM 693 after.
Added.
10ml Cannazyme = 10
2ml Agent = 30
6ml A and B Flores = 82

Jaun Herer (4)
PH 5.9 before.
PH 5.8 after.
PPM 613 before.
PPM 695 after.
Added.
10ml Cannazyme = 10
5ml A and B Flores = 72

Juan Herer (5)
PH 6.1 before.
PH 5.8 after.
PPM 464 before.
PPM 600 after.
Added.
10ml Cannazyme = 10
10ml A and B Flores = 126

And that concludes this episode. Keep tokin folks.:smoking:

They are the same plant, the one that's in it's second week was a cutting I knocked of the the plant on it's way to the flower space, and you know what it's like, I had to pot it up, so there's now two. The smoke I really like anyway, so I can never have enough stashed. lol

Just read it again, I've only grown the Juan Herer, never the Jack Herer. This is where cutting originated from. http://www.herbiesheadshop.com/delicious-original-juan-herer-feminised-seeds-6783

I just did 60/60/10. I was shooting for 14 days but the buds were getting crispy and the stems still bendable. I didn’t want to over dry them, so I put them in the jars a little early. Hasn’t been a problem though. They have been parked at 55-60%rh since they went in there. Burped everyday for the first week, and every few days since. The
smell keeps getting better. This Wednesday will be three weeks in the jars and I’ll consider the cure done.

Better safe than sorry. Id rather go to jars too soon than too late. I wanted to ride it to 14 days if i could this time to see how it would go. Most still needed to be burped at least once a day for a week or two.
