That is another issue that stresses me, i had a good first harvest and got a little bit big of a head, now i just expect everything to be perfect and to be a master grower just like that, and well, we dont like in that type of world. LOL, i need to lower my expectations of myself, it will lower my stressors when it comes to this and help me focus more. Ill get it. I appreciate the support though mosh! && Everyone else thats been helping, you know who you are^^^!!
You will... Your driven and expect a lot of yourself... Just try to enjoy yourself along the way. There really is no perfection in this stuff. We all just roll with the punches and strive to do better... Well except @MIMedGrower that old coot has his shit on lockdown lol.
That happened to me. My first grow was very stressfull and i had many issues but still had a good enough harvest that i covered my whole investment and got started up as a caregiver.
Then i tried to micro manage my next grow with added worm castings and rock dust and de and I tried to schedule watering and fertilizing. Man that second grow went bad.
But i went back to the basics and stayed there. Kept practicing with all my original stuff until the plants got much bigger and healthier. There is no trick. You just have to maintain a stable hospitable envirenment and only give plants what they need. Then they grow to amazing potential.
And yeah for a little florescent veg tent and a 2 light garden and a pile of feminized seeds I have had a pretty great run.
That said. I have 2 burned and recovered yellowed plants with half the fan leaves died off that im nursing to the end now.
Patience is the main factor I think. Cant rush or control plants. And if you are scheduling or pining for the next thing to do and you are not running a dialed in clone you are looking at it all wrong.
Every plant, grower and grow can be quite different.
Here are 2 ugly plants that will likely yield half what they could have.
Also shows a good reason not to defoliate. She ate half her leaves and set buds. If she had only half her leaves when i over fed she would have nothing left to make flowers.
The flowers are actually pretty dense and packed with trichomes. And the bud leaves are mostly green (or purple on one) and intact.
I flushed down to 1.4 and watched them eat themselves while recovering for 8 days. Then fed a light nute mixture.
