A lot of folks associate this bright coloring at the top to a Magnesium deficiency. For awhile I thought the same, until I found out it was just a simple growth spurt, especially when we flip to flower. Magnesium deficiency shows up first at the bottom, not at the top. If anything one could say I'm low on sulfur. And I would think so to if I didn't test the soil this last grow, it was high in sulfur. So...just a growth spurt?

Anyways cover crops are also useful if you think the soil is a little too "rich", they absorb some nutrients and when you chop and drop them they slowly release it back into the soil. Just have to be on top of it, and not let it overtake your main plant.
No clover doesn't do that if that what cover crop u used. It pulls nitrogen from the air and makes it available for your plants.

I'm tempted to seed my lawn with it , mix a 2 lbs of it with my rye grass, spread it all over .. that would be a site. Just might do it.

We're gonna be breaking in a spanking brand new Spider Farmer 4x4 tent. #GarageGrow. Undecided weather I'll have a raised 4x2 bed inside or four twenty gallon pots. To be determined.

Nice tent however I do wish these companies would add bars half way down to stop the tent pulling in the sides
I use canes I really outa have neg pressure however I have to keep the electrical hum down so I just vent them.

I agree, but for the monies I can't complain too much, it does strengthen the idea of getting a Gorilla tent later on. The top bars on the Spider farmer can barely hold my lighting up, had to forgo the carbon unit or it would probably collapse. I found a trick on a thread somewhere, they hooked up a long intake hose at the bottom. Long enough for no light leaks and air freely gets sucked in from the bottom and out the top. Lessons the negative pressure. I have a 4 inch hose at the moment but a 6 inch hose is arriving this evening. I'm gonna wind it like a snake (if I can) or just run it towards the back of the tent somehow. Might post pics later on.

I always get fungus gnats. It's a given, and especially in my garage were we keep the doors cracked to let the cool night air in. I mixed up a packet of nematodes (Steinernema Feltiae) in a sprayer and went to town on my pots last night. The concentration was enough for 5 gallons but we went with one gallon concentration and that was more than enough for my needs. (two 20 gallon, two 3 gallon, one 10 gallon pots) These nematodes can handle Fungus gnat larvae, Root Aphids, Leaf Miners, Shore Flies, and Thrips.

I've read a little on companion plants and marigolds keep coming up. Only $3 Not sure if it's meant to be in the same pot or not but we'll try one outside the pots for now.

(As well as attracting certain insects away from cannabis plants, they repel others from the garden with their pungent scent. Pests such as white cabbage flies and cabbage moths—that would otherwise munch on your cannabis plants—can’t stand them.)

Did some trimming on the taller one. From the two I'm liking the taller one so far. The little shit is looking a lot like, well, a little Runt. So not giving her much love. We also did some LST. The two main branches at the top were tied down last night. My first time trying this.

Is there a specific reason to trimming 10 days into flowering?
I would only assume that trimming in the middle of flowering/stretch would cause them to stop growing and repair themselves before moving again. I notice my plants just get started pushing harder by the end of week 1 stretch.
I personally wait 3 weeks as stretch tends to end by the end of week 2 or 3 and you don’t lose much stretch on the back end to do it later, is my idea of waiting a bit longer and doing a heavy trim.
I utilize week 2 of stretch to switch to mid flowering nutrients. Which is a lite stressor but bumps them down on Nitro and slightly increases bloom.
No bashing, just observing some things that could hold back the yields and plant size.
I am all about the stress free transitions though and I’ve gotten the best results timing my stress on the plants. Beyond 21 day heavy trim, I very rarely touch the plant other than to add supports.
I am hydro so I may be off base for soil grows. I am always thinking stress timing and recovery because I started off pushing limits on cuts and discovered the plants do a whole lot better when stress is introduced at specific “down times”.

I specifically trim leaves that cover bud sites. And I cut off lower branches and leaves that receive hardly any light at all. Now if a plant grows out low and small I just leave them alone and don't do that much to them, or try not to.
As far as nutrients go the plant tells the soil what it needs when it needs it, my job is to make sure the soil has it. Which is why I topped dressed before the flip with the Seabird Guano. You seem to be in top of it with the bottle feed.
I do not want to trim as much or touch the plant after the 3 week stretch. Which is why I mostly trim during the stretch.
And like you mentioned it slows down the growth spurt a bit. Makes me nervous this plant or any plant could get to tall for my likings. Also I've noticed that after the three week stretch the branches get or start to get really stiff. Really hard to bend them to your liking at that point.

I mostly follow what the video says here only instead of trellis nets I use bamboo sticks to hold the bud heavy branches up.. so we'll see..

We're currently getting 700ppfd at the canopy level (lighting 24 inches from canopy). I also made a small batch of that bloom nutrients from the link above. Super easy to do.

Alright..need some opinions.. and I have some of my own here too... Every grow so far.. week 3 of flower, I get rust spots..like clock work..it's just crazy. One thought about it is because of the transformation to flower... I'm either calcium or magnesium deficient, or getting there. I'm strongly leaning on that side of the fence for now.

I've ruled out rust fungus. It doesn't rub off and my humidity has been more on the lower side (hardly ever goes above 60% and lights out hovers at 50-55%. And plenty of air flow inside.

And.. we have a little critters problem too. Some have been chowing down on my leaves. I just ordered from the Good Guys some predatory mites to handle it. Amblyseius Swirskii , a general mite predator. Used for Broad, Russet Hemp and Two-Spotter Spider Mites ,Whitefly and Thrip Control.

That's all I can think of right now, what you guys think?

Some anxious moments for me right now .. I do have a fungus of some type. Probably powdery mildew. I made a quick baking soda mix and sprayed the plants down good. Also clipped a bunch of leaves off and added a fan to the tent. Apparently I did not have enough air flow in there. Might add another fan for good measure. We are ending the 3 week stretch and the cotton candy machine is warming up.
