I’d consider the Marigold in the tent as a potential culprit to the carrier. Where did you get the Marigold, it may have came from a store with the mold present nearby and housed the mold or brought the spores home? Reused, unclean/unsanitized cloth grow bag. Use of used soil. All the growth in the pot like clovers ect that you have growing with the ganj may be a culprit as well. I know you mentioned you always let random growth in the pot. It is possible that those are spreading the spores after they become infected and spreading it to the weed.

Definitely powdery mildew. It usually starts at the top new growth as it’s target. How far down the plant may tell you how long ago it got introduced to the spores. I’d check all over every other plant/growth that isn’t weed and see if you find any on those. Then, clean and sanitize everything in the tent/tent walls, support beams, and thoroughly clean the lung room, remove any soil or old used unclean anything in the lung room. If you use a sliding door in the lung room and leave it open to smoke or what not, chances for plants that commonly get this disease outside could be letting the spores inside the lung room. If it is recurring, you have something contaminating your air from outside source. Neighbors or your own outside garden. Investigate everywhere.

Think of the things you do every grow that you get the powdery mildew. If you allow wild growth in the bags or reuse soil every time it is probably what is happening. Shaded wild growth at the soil is getting the right conditions to start its process on the weaker resistant stuff growing.

This is like gnats. You have to look for standing water and/or trash everywhere around your house and neighbors if they just won’t go away.

Let me speculate for you one more time. That wood pallet you introduced to the space on Sunday. Mold spores can thrive off wood due to the wood cells. It may be what’s up. Even if it was chilling in the lung room this whole time it could be sustaining the mold and causing a recurring white powdery mildew in multiple grows.

Thanks. I think your right. Was up all night playing this grow in my head and woke up thinking I need to clean up the bottom and get rid of all that and go back to some clean straw at the bottom.

We're cleaning up the area and making it as fungus free as possible. Plants looking good so far. Getting stoked... we're in full flower mode (the stretch has ended) 😎

Nice! You are just a few days ahead of me right now!
Thanks. I spent an hour in there redoing the top soil. Pulled a lot of the foliage out and then raked it even and flat. I then sprayed it with some Lactic Acid Bacteria. I read that milk kills off the bad fungus if sprayed in your leaves and the active ingredient in milk is the probiotic lactic acids. Something like that, I know I'm in the right playing field as far as that is concerned and then I dropped a thin layer of straw to keep the top soil a little moist between waterings. I also added a third fan ... man if that doesn't do it.

So now I'm with the idea that it was just a Cal mag issue this whole time. That the white spots are from something I sprayed on the leaves during foliar sprays. That or just wishful thinking.
I found a YouTube vid where a grower explained how our plants hormones go insane when they switch to flower. Some varieties anxieties are uglier than others. We call them Cal Mag Whores. (Got OG Kush?)
I'm just really surprised by it all. Reason being, that the whole idea of me going to a bigger pots (10 gallon to 20) was to not deal with this flowering drama after the stretch.
Anyways, I setup my reservoir with the Cal Mag. So they will be watered with Cal Mag this whole week, probably the duration of this month. Could these be Cal Mag Whores?

Alright..need some opinions.. and I have some of my own here too... Every grow so far.. week 3 of flower, I get rust spots..like clock work..it's just crazy. One thought about it is because of the transformation to flower... I'm either calcium or magnesium deficient, or getting there. I'm strongly leaning on that side of the fence for now.

I've ruled out rust fungus. It doesn't rub off and my humidity has been more on the lower side (hardly ever goes above 60% and lights out hovers at 50-55%. And plenty of air flow inside.

And.. we have a little critters problem too. Some have been chowing down on my leaves. I just ordered from the Good Guys some predatory mites to handle it. Amblyseius Swirskii , a general mite predator. Used for Broad, Russet Hemp and Two-Spotter Spider Mites ,Whitefly and Thrip Control.

That's all I can think of right now, what you guys think?

ph dropping under 6.0, in the soil can cause a cal / mag type problem. that look similar.

i would say they are calmag w, normally when this shows i give them cal mag, at 6.4 ph going in. if that helps.

I've been watering at 6.5 or very near to 6.5 this whole grow. But in soil , you never know. Last time I checked it was at 7.2. 🫤 That was about 3-4 weeks ago. I'll test it tonight, should be checking it on a weekly basis.

i dont really check mine, week 3 flower i just ph going in as, thats when ph normally drops for me so after balance it back out in the soil. or cal and mag cant uptake proper, if you have been watering at 6.4 and there still showing it. should deffo need more nutrients / cal mag.

if you can build it up / feed cal and mag as your growing / flowering. then it doesnt really show up unless it runs out, or ph drops as it as access to it constant.

I'll add some during the stretch on this next grow, maybe 2-3ml to the gallon. (Water)
Have some California Dream almost ready for the flip. They'll be in this tent in about a week or two.

Update: The soils pH was a little high again at 7.2. We're hoping we didn't add to much nutrients trying to fix a simple problem..yikes, We brewed some earthworm casting tea and are confident this will right the ship. Now we're discussing what could possibly be raising the soils pH that high?
