Thanks a lot guys!!! I rally appreciate it.
I'll invest in a cooltube soon then :)
It sounds like the best thing to do right now.
But I'm not sure how to build the whole thing, with ducting and stuff, given the small size of the cab...
That's what the top of the cab looks like (ain't exactly the same version but it gives you an idea..)
There's already a carbon filter in there but it's useless as I leave the doors open all the time...
Is there enough space to put a cool tube as well as ducting in there?
Thank you!
Peace,
(I'll update later with pics by the way!:)
Thanks for your reply! This was the shortest cooltube I could find in america. Dimensions with wing reflector on are 17-3/8"(L) x 14"(W) x 6"
With reflector off 17-3/8" (L)x6"(W)x 6"
The dimensions of that cool tube includes reflector so you could leave the wing reflector off for space saving if need be.
Thanks for your reply!
Probably a silly question, but can a cooltube still help without additional ducting?
Thanks a lot for your help!I would say hook your filter on the in-side of the tube. Then the out-side can suck from that hole the charcoal filter currently plugs in.
To ensure proper cooling you would ideally want the air being pulled out of the room.
Even if it the hot air is dumped into an adjacent room. It needs a supply of cooler air not saturated with btu's. In order to wick the heat away.
If the air stays saturated with heat.
Even with a cooltube nothing would change.
Word. I actually have a quite small box (80x80cm) so air-exchange and ventilation are very crucial. Sometimes, if I forget to readjust the fan to my vented hood, I easily get a 3 degree difference. Just by moving the fan a little bit, I can get the temps down again to 23C, which is quite fine for me in flower I guess. My humidifier also helps a lot in cooling the air. Thanks a lot for your help!
Yesterday after reading your previous comment I decided to try to reorientate the airflow by making the fan blow in a way that allows for hot air to get out of the cab. I think you're right, it's all about having good airflow. I'm still far from that, but your messages surely help! I'll try to figure something out.
Peace!
