Little rant about how much i fucking hate Wal-mart and the entire online shopping for crap at a retails store location..
Back story... I needed a new floor lamp One of those that takes the Square CFL T-27W bulbs..My previous it seems died after replacing the bulb and it still no workie :(
So i check wal-marts website and it states type in your zip code to check items status IN STORE! .... So i did.. It says In stock.. So i zip down there yesterday, Try and locate the item to no avail...so i set out to find a drone worker who might be able to locate said item.. After 20 mins of dicking around the computer and checking the shelfs he comes to the conclusion wal-mart don't sell them in the store.. I said what about yer website?! He says I read it wrong and thats to have it shipped to the store not check if the store has it in stock... GTFO!!!!!!!!! Ugh!
So i proceed to check Sears, home-depot, K-mart, target and i think that was it... and all there fucking websites either only show the option to check if its in stock to ship to a store or ship to you.. WHY the hell can't they track active invintory of a store? This is bs... why even have a website claiming you carry all these items only to show up at the store to find they don't..
I want instant gratification and online shopping does not do it for me..With that said i found oe on ebay for 10$ cheaper with free shipping... *uhg* now i gotta wait a week for a light :\
*middle finger to all the big box stores websites check this inventory! *
They can track inventory, but they have to have the IT team that can do it. I'm pretty sure it can be done with Walmart, I know I've done it. Also with Target, as well as with Nordstrom. Dillard's does not allow the ability to check store inventory, so they're a little whonked that way but they always answer the phone immediately (honestly, AMAZED, not even Nordstrom does that) and are able to help me well.
Honestly, if it weren't for online shopping, I'd be wearing rags.
Btw, VIP Zappos = instant gratification. Free next day shipping, free returns, all the time. I fuckin' love it! Nordstrom is free shipping as well but there's a bit of a lag time because it's not next day.
Also, if you don't want to wait a week, a lot of eBay sellers will allow an option for next day or expedited shipping.
Amazon prime ninja!
They carry all the grow stuff you'll need to, and its two day shipping
I've got a boiling flask on the way right now
If they actually not only had what I want, but qualified for Prime, I'd be on board with that. But quite a few things offered for sale are not qualified for Prime, so I feel that money is a waste, I go eBay or direct.
