Yeah they say keep it out of direct light or put a shield over it.i just hung mine in the center of the room just above where any light shines or about even with my cooltubes.heres a pic of the first one I hung, its by itself in a sea of cooltubes lol.the others are on the other side of my room divider.

i had to actually raise my tubes a bit cause they were blocking light from that gavita lol.

Hello max and def looking good man .. I've been mentoring guys on this type of growing for years and they still can't get it down so you're definitely doing great ;) these people keep wanting to grab every bottle up off that hydro store shelf so you got to stick to the story i said about my grandpa always saying ..leave it alone if it's not broke and less is better as you can see it's working ;)

as far as me being underground. Which is what we always called us basement and bunker growers way up north in the woods in northern mich. im def deep in the hole right now lol i have a lot of killer work I've had released but just under my my name ChemG and only to few people so I'll be mainly releasing seed to testers to get my seed out there and to do what I plan which is pass them to spread the love not for profit so anyone that can log grows can hit me up on Instagram which is the only place im on as of now (and im def lost there lol)or here which if you seen my lab you would know why I can't get on line very often I barely have enough time for my wife but she understands luckily since this is a very time consuming hobby lol. Sadly most of the time it's just me stopping to smell the flowers ;) but that's part of my stressful work lmao

Anyways im all out of selfed seed now and only working with regs mainly but prob will make more eventually but im more into this for showing others my work now that my old buddy had passed on he was the one that def was right and said if I keep passing on genetics for trade like i did in the past they will just get sold out of greed and then big names get them and make even more off them so now I'm ready to pass them on but in bx work but they still are def worthy and most are what i grow for my patients since they pick what works for them so a lot of them are the best I've grown in 20 years so like the old RKS people love and i read about all the time about it being lost due to over breeding that's one i still have that's not sweet at all it is a nose burner and will make your eyes water so no jar can contain it but it was one we rarely grew since it got a lot of people busted back before the med laws but we always kept it in seed form and used it for outside or underground bunker grows but anyways as Max knows I have a list that I myself even get happy when I read some of the names of seeds I have that I had forgotten about like the bubblegum and blueberry just to name a few off the top of my head and since there patients favs so around Christmas time I am sure more will hear and see more from my name so as I always say the proof is in the puttin

MAXY PAD WEEK 3 UPDATE​

Well folks, once again work has found yet another way of kicking my ass! I lost a couple of key employees and am having to train new peeps WHILE still getting the work done! It's honestly 3 times as much work it seems like! I'd LOVE to get off this merry-go-round, but never seem to be able to hit a jumping off spot where I know I won't land on my face!

At any rate...I've also been busy as hell in the garden, and between the two...just haven't had allot of time for pics and posting. I had originally planned to post up individual shots of each plant at each update...but dragging them out one at a time for pics is a major fucking undertaking with my bad back and knees, so I hope y'all will forgive an old man and let me slide a bit! ;) The last individual shots I did were right at the flip. I'll drag 'em all out again at about mid-flower or when there's some real excitement going on, and again at chop time, (and of course the requisite post-chop pics)! Fair enough?

In the meantime tho...group shots are easier and still give you an idea how things are progressing with the strains.

As a side note, I'd like to give BOG a special shout out and thanks for providing today's "Sunday, lay around the house meds"! Sourbubble!!! Mmmm! That's a special girl BOG! ;) I've smoked some fine weed in my day bro, and that's really about as good as it gets! Gracias!

Well folks, here's what happens when you try to run a dozen different strains at the same time!! From hardcore Indy's to sat-dom crosses! o_O I REALLY need to join "bean-drowner's anonymous" :bag:, but hey...it IS a mother-hunt after all! You can fuggin' forget an even canopy tho! These run from about 3-1/2 feet to 6'-5" tall! As you can see, I have the lamps "stair-stepped".

In fact, my ceilings are not as tall as I'd like with these Gavitas. (These lamps are VERY bright, strong and hot)! I've gone about as high as I can on my highest lamp, but still burned the top of one of the Grape Romulan plants! :(. I pinched and bent the top over, so as not to lose the whole cola, but it's def a disappointment! The bent top is circled in this pic...

The top was not positioned directly under the light, but was off to the side a few inches and still managed to burn. That'll teach (remind, actually...lol) me to check 'em close often!! :facepalm: This damage happened in just a few hours! Most of the stretchers are the Sat-dom strains, but the Grape Rom should be an Indy-dom. I might have gotten a pheno with a little more sativa in the mix...OR (MORE LIKELY) it stretched because I don't have my shit dialed in yet! lol. :wacky: I admit I've been a bit scared of these new lights, so I probably had them a little too high during the stretch. My temps ran a bit too hot a couple of times until I came to an understanding with the AC unit, too! So, I' not ready to point the finger at the strains themselves just yet. Another round or two will tell the tale! :rolleyes:

Hard to see it in this pic, but I'm actually about 14-16" above the tops now, and that seems to be working. Stretch or no stretch, I'll still be able to tell allot about them in the taste/potency/yield departments from this round, and that IS the main objective right now. I've also seen strains that put on a lot of stretch because they are fixing to explode with flower growth and know they'll need the room! ;) Just think what a beast this Devil's Tear will be if she fills up with huge rails now!

At any rate...things are progressing nicely. I was able to get a "rez" set up this weekend complete with pump and stones, so that'll mean my aching back doesn't have to schlepp 15 gals of water a day anymore! But...things are forming up nicely. Now that the stretch is over, they can get down to the business of packing on some flowers!

Was at an indoor hydro show yesterday and almost bought a 1k induction set up. The technology is moving right along. It will b m next major purchase. The price point is pretty decent. It was actually a dual bulb 500watt. Their thus s but position. I'll get some more info up here when I get home! Just wanted to drop in an say hello! And send some positive vibes to u!

I'm in a huge rush this am, but wanted to say thanks to everybody who's posted! I'll get back asap, and answer everybody. Until then, I thought I'd throw up this little pic from last time I watered (about a day and a half ago). No miraculous changes or anything...I just thought it was a cool pic! The plant, by the way, is GreenGoo Labs Lem-Mango! It seems to be leading the charge as top yielder right now...but of course that's still WAAAY too early to call!! Also...I LOVE to see plants praying, and the plant just behind the Lem-Mango is really going to town!! If I'm not mistaken, it is ROC's Blackberry x Romulan. I move them around tho, so it's hard to keep up with which is which without looking. They are starting to differentiate themselves now tho, so soon will be able to recognize just by sight. Yes the LEmango i think I forgot to add its genetics but its lemon G (Ohio clone only) being a mich fan only good thing that came out of Ohio lmao anyways it's crossed to a mango male that was some old seed given to me in the 90s and was very rotten mango fruity smelling and just stright knockout stone to the bone the male i found was Beautiful so with the lemon g it kept the lemon g smell and taste and added just a touch of more fruityness but it's def the best lemon strain ive ever had and i dont even like lemons but the smells and taste and ofcourse the potency is top notch and the flavors stick to your mouth long after smoking like a lemon heads candy sweet and sour so def the best lemon G in seed form and as of now im back crossing it aswell as the blueberry to keep them both mother dominant


sorry some people want s1s but i def feal better releasing cubed seed of clones since they will stay solid that way a lot longer for people who grow like me clone off from clone with no permanent mom plant and trust me if done with the right strain (dad) you won't even know it's been bx'ed it will be just like the mother like the blueberry now is at the point to where all females popped in my last bx were all like my mother blueberry some actually better but im def thinking of doing fems for a few since its a lot of work to cube all of my fav clones my only prob with fems is after so many years they start to lose vigor and will herm but thats when you grow clone off from clone like i do but I have a bb headband from emerald triangle and it's going on 3 years now and still looking like the first grow so shes solid so it all depends on the mom being reversed to begin with on how good there gonna stand up to time but for people just popping and running them one time or a few then fems are ok in my book for that reason like outdoors for example other then that I have cuts from the early 90s still running from clone off from clone off from clone etc etc. Lol Ya get what i mean and there exactly the same as the day I got them so anyways peace all and looking killer max

Thanks for the pic Six! Looks great!! I was actually able to get y light up another 4-5" by taking your suggestion and just ditching the rope-ratchet hanger. I didn't have an "S" hook, so just used a huge Zip tie with another for 911-backup. The S-hook is certainly easier to work with tho, so I'll pick one up next trip to the hardware store. Haha...I keep hoping I'll wander in one day and not find my way out!! ;) They really are growing fast, but that has more to do with the hydro system I'm running than having the room dialed I think. The room is coming along nicely, and I'm getting there, but I wouldn't call it dialed just yet! The tuff thing is, the seasons will be changing now, so I'm gonna have to relearn it all for cold weather! haha! The games never cease. Thanx for dropping in!!

For those who don't know, I've been hunting for a real old-school sour Blueberry for fuckin' EVER!! I'm SO pumped to be growing this one!! Those other pics look amazing as well brother! I know part of it is the method...but I think you need to take a bow for the breeding work you put in on these too!! No too fuckin' shabby my bro!! I can only imagine what crossing the Road Kill Skunk in there would be like! I'm like you...I love the sweet and the nasty funky shit too! Love to taste them in a good cross!! Hey Big Buddy! GREAT to see ya around again brother!! Don't EVEN mention replacing bulbs to me man!! My wallet is still stinging from the recent upgrades. I'm not supposed to have to replace these for a year (We'll see!) but hate to think about it! Theses double-ended bulbs are bound to be expensive. I haven't priced them yet, but I' not even wanting to think about it for awhile! That is one great thing about the induction lights....I don;t have to worry about replacing the bulb for 10 years!! Thanks for that info G.G.!! The one I'm running is already throwing off a really strong lemon scent, but there's something else in there too! She smells GREAT!! She's also looking like the best yielder of the run so far...but I know that can still change in the homestretch. I'm about to post an update and will be featuring some pics of her. I also think it's great that you take such care to release your work in stable form. So any people today are in it for the quick buck and don't care if it's stable or not as long as they get a profit out of it! But...(And I'll quote you here...)
