We sampled again last night.
This sample was taken 5 days ago.
Flavor is coming on slow but the buzz has arrived!
We broke out the Volcano and ground up 2 grams for 8 bags.
It's getting there!
It was Skunky when ground. scent is there in the dried sample, turns sweet and spicy, peppery.
On the draw it was smooth.
We knew we had tried something new for about 20 minutes.
We think 4 to 7 days.

I've had everything skunk from Jordan of the island. Closest thing he has to old skunk is the ISS. But it pales in comparison to the old skunk I know and love.

Hey did you ever run a pack of the Northern BC Skunk?
I've had some good luck with a bit of pheno hunting; currently have a cross of a very smelly NBC Skunk male and a hash plant.

Tried out a few of the F1's and one particular baby is only 6 inches tall and putting out a sour skunk smell. 😀

I will do some searching for that!

Ah, a nice sampler last night!
Finally a skunky scent coming on at 10 1/2 weeks. Ground up sweet and flavor is a mix of acrid pine with the skunk undertones on exhale.
Head was satisfied for over an hour.
It is a cut from 6 days ago so we will be harvesting 2 days shy of 11 weeks this Thursday!
Had to order a new Mighty for the occasion!

The harvest sequence has begun, lights out until tommorrow evening!
That is 79 days in bloom. Quite a difference from the stated 56 day from breeder.
One of the 5 gals is still showing clear heads 50% but this will give me a variety of potency.
I do have bulk!

Oh - Server problems deleted some posts.

I Just wanted to make sure you saw the thought.

If you recall. The tap root on the plant with the largest root mass. It was the shortest in length.

Good chance that its from it pruning/dying off the earliest, and building lateral shoots before the rest.

How was the yield on that one?

If great....

You may look into manipulating seedlings so their tap roots get pruned asap, to start kicking out more roots.
So you get a more fibrous root system, and bigger yield.

Interesting!
I do have a root phobia though, kinda why I never could do the hydro thing.
If they are hidden in the soil they remain a mystery until harvest.

lol and i have a root fetish. idk why.

I think i see whats happening. You are planting the seeds into 1 gals (roughly)

If you planted in a 4" x 4", and then transplanted.

You should see a much healthier plant up top.

Dont have too, Dont need too.

But maybe try it someday, see how it goes. :)
