Not much.. But this will be my 1st Hempy grow. Been in soil for years, using just the KISS method. Will start these in solo's with some coco & perlite, and uppot to 2 gal buckets with all chunky perlite. Peace Donny P View attachment 451363

Looking good T. I was wondering how you treat the little ones that are headed in the coco. Do you just use plain ph adjusted water on them, and do you presoak your plugs with anything? I like the simplicity of upotting the plugs. A little karma for that fifth one bro, Its coming.. Thanks DP

Before anything(seeds or clones) goes into my plugs I soak them in some Form of beneficial bacteria. My current bennies of choice for this is either OG special sauce or caps root pack. Couple hour soak minimum. Once in there I pretty much use a spay bottle to water till they pop up then into whatever medium they r going in. Right now I'm charging my Coco with about 1/4 strength nutes and 5 MLS cal mag and I'm getting stellar results. I've tinkered with that for a while and seems to be what's working best. I have listened to ed Rosenthal against my better judgement but have in the last two runs started adding a little dolomite lime to my Coco and @Don Peppy its night and day. I was against that for a long time but I'll tell u it has really changed they way my plants r doing in Coco. I use about 1/4 the amount u would use for soil. So it doesn't effect pH much at all. Just there for the calmag. I've never had better looking plants in my life. So I hope that explains what ur looking for. Thanks for the karma but that bean has yet to come up. For the record I no longer use clone gel of any kind. Just bennies and my clones don't even wilt. Bennies rock! Lol!

I got a problem.

Peshawar free seeds planted last spring outgrew my basement.
Had to lay them over.
They rest against much more promising girls in the back of the class.

Small and open flowers after six weeks of 12/12.
I don't want to have these taking up space for several more weeks.
I know I should cull them, but it's hard.
I keep hoping they will make up for their open structure by yielding abundant flowers.
But to see any trichs I need to search inner leaves with high mag lenses.
So, should I be concerned this isn't worth finishing out?
What say you?
Cull them, or not?

So at the first sign of something not being right. It's gone bro. I'm not sure of the genetic traits of the plant but if u don't have anything solid at this point or even a visible trich I'd off them. I have pretty awesome stuff and space is at a minimum. If they r stealing light from plants u know r better. Off with their heads. Lol. Just me. I know it sux due to the love and the time u have already put in but.... Lol. Good luck bro.

All good points Tnelz.
Must resist planting free seeds in the spring.
The competition are all from seed too, with two of them doing very nicely.
I'm not sure they would benefit all that much from being spread out, but it couldn't hurt.
Another name on these larf monsters is Malberry.
Ring any bells?

First thing I'll do is a harsh trim.
The growth is so thick that no light is making it into the back side when they are set over like this.
Or is this just delaying the inevitable?

Ditto. If not hacking it then its kickin rocks. Better off giving the extra time love and light to better plants. Good luck.

T yall made out great for that expo. Sure wish they had em round here. Hell maybe i vacation there next year. Lol

Honestly six weeks in and no real promising signs? I'm wakin em. Lol. I'm not familiar with the strain at all. I have had very good luck with freebies so I wouldn't forsake them altogether. So I know u have been around for a while. I'm saying that Cuz u know what ur looking at bro. If there is something telling u to keep them maybe u should and u will end up with some awesome shit. Trust ur gut bro. But if it was me if I ain't loving what I'm smelling and at least happy with what I'm seeing chop chop. Lol. I take no prisoners. Do what u feel u can live with!

Just wanted to bring some awareness to a good product. I'll be doing this from time to time. Also I may post a thought that is contrary to other people's thought so if I do let's enlighten one another. Anyway I use Coco and sometimes I flush my medium just because or do to signs that I should. I've used water and clearex and flora clean and one or two others and I have found them to be pretty inefficient. In other words for them to work u still have to run a bunch of water through the medium with fairly high MLS of the product as well. So I got a sample of the stuff and had to flush some Coco to reuse and I was shocked at the results. I'd normally run a bunch of water or water with clearex through to get the ppms down. I added 5 MLS of the detox and one gallon of water to 3.5 gallons of Coco. The ppms of the first 6 Oz of water to come out was 718. After running the entire gallon of water + detox the ppms ended up at 141. So one gallon got me to an acceptable level. It was a whole lot less work so just figured I'd share. Cheap enough and it's a product that Def does what it's supposed to do!
