I hear you. Organics can become fairly confusing at times. Just a suggestion for simplicity's sake try that maxibloom experiment one time. Guarantee it will be good and easy.

Either way if you are happy with your grow then don't freak out. Just keep doing what you're doing and be happy! If problems arise and people give suggestions try not to combat them and instead work with them. Life will be much easier if you simplify things though. Good Luck!

Please ignore the ' advice' I wrote above. I have since learned from a far better and knowledgeable farmer that A: You need to feed with EVERY watering in coco. Read about cation exchange and read about coco if you don't know already. Flushing is fine if you have a major salt buildup in your medium, but nutes should be reapplied as soon as possible. B: When I mentioned about testing the runoff, this is called a slurry test. But really all you're doing is testing the quality of waste flushing from your medium and is not a good indicator of the PH of your medium. I didn't know either of these facts were untrue at the time of writing. Just thought I'd say that in case anyone tried this and ruined their crop!

Powdered calcium/magnesium should be added to water before any other fertilizers or additives

is what u sent me said so still don't use calmag???

your medium (promix) has plenty of calcium
in it already treated with gypsum or lime (powder form)
your tap also has plenty of Calcium

you always add calcium first because if you add it after the other nutes it will cause fallout

no your plants wont need calcium

did you notice the entire section on Magnesium?
extremely important
and the reason why your leaves were turning light green to yellow but the stems were still green or purple
you should def add 1gram of epsom per gal with every feed
it helps with chlorophyl production
it helps transport sugars throughout the plant
and the sulfur helps with terpenes

Wisher is giving you some great information. Look at any of those hilariously over priced sugary resin boosters like AN bud candy or Botanicare sweet. Notice the key ingredient in all of them. MAGNESIUM SULFATE.

what do u mean fallout this one I never heard of so Im not sure what order I been putting it in so now ill make sure to put in first

so add the salt in then the earth juice??

Actually if you get salts built up in coco and need to flush use a mild nute flush. Maybe at 1/2 to 1/4 strength. You dont want to flush with plain water in coco. IMHO......

fallout is when elements fall out of suspension and become unavailable to the plant

Epsom Salt/Magnesium Sulfate is perfectly fine and will not harm the micro life
of which you really dont have unless you add any
epsom salt really isnt a salt
it is just magnesium sulfate
yes...when you add it ....add it before everything else
for 20gal res add 20grams....weigh it out

add it first and then add your nutes
no more Calmg......it is garbage and a waste of money

shit....I dont even use it and I grow in straight coco

I do have mirco is why I ask unless mircoblast n ewc don't have micro life

what do you have in the way of micro life

Microblast isnt microlife
it is Micro Nutrients the other 11 elements besides NPK C Mg
