glad your getting this sorted gg.on with the grow!!!!

Damn it's always something ud never guess.

Good luck homie.

Nice to see it get pinpointed (Hopefully), Gonna keep riding it out? Every farmer has its day getto, keep your head up!

Ill second the question aswell, Why the switch to Jacks ?

I can speak for myself, at least; I switched to get consistent base nutes, super cheap. $100 buys enough Jacks, calcium nitrate and epsom salts to last the average home grower for years! Add a P boost and any organic nutes you might like and that's it.

I'm very happy with how it works, and it's extremely simple to use. Plants are happy, DONE.

I think we have a winner. I really hate to jump to conclusions. But I think you may have just solved my plague. I thought I had it figured out every grow but there was always a piece of the puzzle that didnt quite fit. The ethylene poisoning has all the pieces falling right into place.

Thank you for your post.
you r my Hero
:)

No problem man. Fellow tree farmer. Been lurking here a while and I have been inspired by your build outs. Been having a similar issue in my room running natty gas burners. Figured the least I could do was sign up and point it out. In the process of setting up some intakes and out takes to have an air exchange schedule. Sucks to have to vent a sealed room but in my research it seems like it is a good idea when running burners. You could always use bottled co2 if you want to keep it completely sealed. Im sure you will get it sorted out!

I'm bottle fed currently. Love everything but how often I have to swap tanks.

My recently discovered dream is to buy some fuel cells and use natural gas to offset the electric bill, continue to provide heat, and use the CO² from THAT as a supplement for growing plants. It's supposed to be just pure water and CO² coming from the PEM stack type of fuel cell, the most commonly available and affordable type.

In the past 5 years I have had 2 grows do the exact same thing and every time it has been a co2 gernerator staying on causing my plants to just go to stall and droop like they are almost dying but no quite.. I lost many nights sleep . I no longer use CAP c02 burners because of this.. When you turn it off the plants will recover but it will really effect you're yield in the end.. Hope you get it Figured out ...JACK

Welcome back!

Well Im quite sure got it narrowed down to the co2 burners.
These are the same plants as earlier, turned off the burner and viola.
Too bad they are starting week 5 and have hardly any bud structure at all.

I got new jets for the burners and I still think they are not burning as clean as they should be.
The 2 jets on the left are the sea level and the 2 on the right are the high altitude models. 6 to 10k feet.
Giving such a wide range for the jets seems a little off. Maybe these work fine at 6000 feet but they still look rich at 9000 feet. I ordered some 0-10 psi adjustable regulators for the burners. I hope with those I can dial them in to a nice blue flame like the tankless water heaters had.

I also found that the fittings from the selonoid valves and the fuel rails were also leaking raw propane into the room as well. This could also be a factor.
Hey Jack what was your problems with the burners? Too rich? Leaking propane? ??
I have been losing plenty of sleep over this issue for months now. I am looking foreward to my next grow now more than ever..

Side by side,

Also If the mods need to move this thread, Can we move it to the plain tree farming section?
I have pics here if some of my DIY stuff, and I am about to put up some pics of the Veg room for the UC pro's and they are diy as well.

This thread has been very informative and I think it should be renamed for someone that may have these sort of issues could find this information.

Props to ya for keeping it going gettogro and sharing not only great set up but also the not so great issues that you encountered. Im sure it will help many people.

I bet you still break even. ;)

My issue was the CAP C02 burners would not turn off and when they would when they fired back up the flame looked like your's.. I'M at sea level .. I went with Sentinal burners and haven't had any issues. I have seen where the co2 controler sensor got wet causing the burners to stay on but 99% of the time it is the burner.. They bounce rite back but the two times it happened to me it hurt yield .. But looks like you got it handled no looking back next round you will kill it !!:cigar:
