i was supposed to paint today but the rest of the crew flaked, one of those friday conversations "yeah we want to work monday" then the monday at 7am conversation "dude, i got a BBQ today and im hella hungover" hahaha and im the rookie, but ohh well i could do a little garden management today, and its raining too..... weird

Nobody here in CO is using lead paint....as it was banned from use in residential paints in the entire US in 1978. Cali is no different than anywhere else other than yer breathing your lead in from your dirty air. LOL. No need for it in the paint when you have air like that (SoCal). What a soup.... yum. In all reality......if you hadn't painted yer house since the 70's here in CO there wouldn't be any paint left on the house to sand. My house had a lot of bare showing through and sucked up that new paint like a whore in Singapore. Wow.

forgive me, its washington that uses lead paint. and the wonderful air quality in cali is a reason were trying to get out.

seriously, never had a bad air day anywhere near where I am. People pay to come breathe this air all spring,summer,fall too...lol

But I bet you can really feel/smell it when you're in those polluted areas of the state. I get this feeling in my lungs when we go to SoCal to visit my folks. I call it the "doofed by waves" feeling, because it's a lot like when I was a kid at the beach, gettin' doofed by waves all day long, and you've probably been sucking down a bit of water into your airway. You guys know that feeling?

The traffic gives me a horrible sick feeling in my stomach, I've gotten too accustomed to 2-lane highways, roads barely wide enough to let two cars through (and plenty that aren't!).

2 days till harvest for me .... PHUCK I am anxious ..... what would relieve my anxiety

I live in the foothills above Denver and smog isn't really a prob during the summer but when the ground is snow covered and a warm sunny calm day happens we get a temperature inversion and many times you can't even see downtown. If you are in it you get a sweet smell that burns your throat. You can also see a cloud going both ways down I-25 from Ft Colling to Colo Springs. Glad I live above it.

There's the key. Avoid cities/people. And yer right fish....Denver has some soup of it's own @ times....and when I first moved to the HIGH country in the early 80's the air was shit here as well because >every< hotel room had a fireplace and all of the tourons had a fire goin. Crazy inversions back then. Not so anymore because most of the wood-burning fireplaces have been nixxed from the hotels/etc. and the catalytic stoves of today are far cleaner burning.

Got a handful of small plants to trim today from an S-1 project I've been doing with my prized Blueberry cut. There are a few crosses as well. Pretty stoked because I've tried to get this girl to change sex a few times and fell short and this time I' pretty sure there's something to show for the effort.

Just got back from the dentist. Wow..am I ever college numb.... right up front....just like the old days..... sniff..sniff.....
(made the dentist laff when I told him I wasn't numb enough and needed another line)

I need to pay some bills, place some orders, figure out why the cat stinks and rectify the situation, clean, spray some plants, feed, collect eggs... something tells me I probably won't have a chance for that mani-pedi I was thinking about this morning.

Crap! Rain is coming in, I can't spray until it's passed. At least mold isn't much of a worry for me, I'm thankful for that. And, it cools things off and keeps the dust down.

recovering from 4 days of excessive drinking and horseshoe playing the annual tournament sunday 74 people started at 10am ended the night at 2am ..... a 1 hr ride became 3 hrs home and today need to get my home in order thou i'm here posting when i should move on to cut the grass (gonna after this post ) air condition broke at home so was a tough sleep last night , second opinion should be here shortly , thou its looking to be between 6-8k for a new system but thinks could be worse ....... my cup is half full not half empty and trying to keep that outlook , like the other good post here from everyone ....

I have been inspired to focus on good things so as the whinning was going on last night , i explained you have a fan , you have a roof over your head now shut up and go to sleep before i spill the half full cup on your head.....lol

blessed day to all ..... be back after my chores are done .... not only am i a cannabis criminal i'm a home maker also....

smoking and cutting grass at the same time ....lol... started cleaning at 7am just sat down 445pm so I feel all you hard working home makers out there - hard work but beats a 9-5 any day even if it is a tad longer (air cond estimate came in at 4425)

up and on computer at 440am guess what day it is come on fish ,fish , fish, what day is it ...... huh huh huh...... its HUMP DAY . (wonder if hump day counts on a holiday week or should it be moved to thursday ...lol)

Well positive outlook seems to be working as the air condition man only wanted 4424 plus permit ( seriously i have a aircondition system thats broke and i'm replacing it - but still need my time and 25-75 bucks for a permit ) so i'm looking at facebook and notice one of my childhood friends is in the heating/air condition business , send him a message and he calls back and goes over my system with me and seems now i will be getting a new air / heating system for less than 3500 . Well pseg wanted 6-8k for air condition system only (they offer two 2 yr payment plans - guess if u don't have the cash they feel rape is fair ) 2nd company wanted as stated above 4425 for same work and now buddy is coming today to possible do both for 3500 or less - So the glass was half full ...

Also the cannabis criminal got his apron all dirty yesterday so he can just chill and play on computer all day ....

Spent the evening on a date with a new garbage disposal. Don't ya love buying shit you had no plan to buy? Zip/Zing.... $250 right down the drain..... LOL. Thankfully I don't have to PAY someone to put this kinda stuff in. You just need to stand back for the times when I get PISSED and start throwing things....which, yes, will more than likely happen...'cus...well...it seems that >nothing< goes together easily....and you HAVE TO rack yer knuckles or smash yer finger/etc at least once or the job...well...just isn't complete. I've saved A LOT of cash and have learned a lot doing it all myself....but it comes with a hefty load of frustration at times. Oh boy. Oh joy! Crazy thing is....I just keep doin it.

Isn't home ownership fun? Haahhaa. Gosh.....what will happen today?:rolleyes: (and why do I own 3 houses?)

Time to call the shrink again....
