OK Pute....You must come and fish No excuses this year, like OH.....your too far away... or my basement...LOL...WTF?? you bought a pontooner, it just sits and waits for you....
This year you just have to show me how to briefly and gently abuse some Gunnie browns and Rainbows....
Have not caught a fish on river for months now. Been slow for others too. but soon fish will be waking up and pats rubber legs and red copper johns will be the ticket, as well as some of the tiny midges you like so much..
Really should get here for stone fly hatch if river is not blown out. We really should also hit The gunie over at Never Sink, cruise over in hot rod thru Black Canyon, the drive alone is worth the trip and that section of river is spectacular...
we should over night on my section, have boat bring up supplies, bales of weed, bricks of hashish, a milk goat and one to butcher, a few hens for fresh eggs and stew meat 2 nights, 3 days, live like river kings.
Lets get a group up, even if you don't fish the river is an awesome time just taking it in, hike up canyons lots to explore, endless stories, incredible camp meals, mushrooms if it feels right....You'll never forget a trip with C Man....
Happy B day C man
I wanna Go Fishing with You!
:woot:
You bring Hens along for eggs and meat?! Sounds awesome!

Winner winner... Chicken dinner, for today's outing...Riley, poor abused dog.......

Winner winner chicken dinner! BEST food to take on a long trip--roast or fried chick-hen.

More digging, more leveling, more rock removal for garden. Almost there. Trying to source a few yards of composted horse manure or alpaca manure for free. People always give it, I just gotta find one with a tractor. I aint sweating for an afternoon to hand load a high sided 3 yard trailer.

Now, if my nursery guy will get his organic compost in stock again I'd get a few scoops of that also.

Making soil, cleaning and starting to think about spring time choirs. Love the coming of a new season but also starts the busy season for me. Getting the yard and flowers ready down in the city....mud and runoff season up in the hills. Gotta make sure the sump pumps are working properly at the cabin. Gonna be a huge runoff this year. Hopefully will find some time to fish and go on more adventures.

My one dog ginger would growl if ya tried to get her off bed....
Hell my two just lay there and look at me like I'm bothering them when I tell em to move over. Try pushing them and I swear they have an anchoring system ... I can't budge them ..... But as soon as I lay down there like Alabama ticks .... King size bed and they are pushed against me like a second pair of PJ'S

Wow slept in till 630am..
time for morning ritual, stoke up fire, coffee and the usual wake and bake. will twist up some sour Diesel, along with French roast French Pressed strong ass coffee with heavy jersey whipping crème....
Must get ready for tomorrows adventure on the river.....
Plans for the day are never set in stone on a farm one never know what will come up...
Will shag corn 2 tons, mix up some feed for next few days, fresh is best no GMOs as well...

Easy day today. Will mow the grass and walk later. Wednesday will hit the river and mostly watch. Will drive/walk the shore and start to get a feel for what is going on. Hoping there are guides with clients on the water. Will keep track of where and when they are on certain spots and keep a log. Another year of fun in the sun.
Thursday and Friday are going to be heavy work days in the garden. Have a harvest and trimming to do. With a perpetual grow there is always shit going on. Like being in jail...no rest for the wicked.
Hope all have a good week and your pains are only a memory.

I've got some photography to do today. Roots and and a few items for eBay. And I was contacted by a fellow who has a handmade botanical soap & product outfit over in Jamestown, he needs someone to photograph products for the online shop he wants to build, so I'm learning a bit more about product photography. Turns out he's into the whole organic & permaculture thing, so this should be a lot of fun. I have no idea what to charge since I'm nothing resembling a professional, but apparently he likes the pix I take for my eBay stuff, so...?

Since rain is coming through tomorrow, I'm going to get a bunch of cover crops sown in the beds with the focus being MUSTARD!

Sometimes I wish she still called it buckard. That was so hilarious. :)

Haven't been on this thread in a while and thought I would bring it back. Wow, with spring here my duties have doubled. Growing both indoors and out sure makes the day go fast. Yard work, weeds, pruning bushes and trees have me going full speed.
Have to transplant some starts today and will be trimming my latest harvest indoors. Would sure like to find some time to go fishing but not this week! 4/40 us upon us and will be attending all kinds of activities that I really don't have time for but what the fuck all this stuff will still be here when my head clears. Gonna try and stop by a bunch of local get to gathers around here locally. Other than that I am bored as shit. Hope all have a good day.

With taxes done, eclipse over and nothing to do indoor but clean... I think today is the day I get to do some garden work before I go to work. Few months late, but better late than never.
