B day today. will go to hot springs run naked, take a nice drive in my custom hot rod, got worker to cover farm chores, beautiful day out....

Happy B-Day C-Man. Smoke one for me. River just opened up last week. Another year of wandering the river is just ahead. Haven't been around much lately....hope all are doing well.

I quit having birthdays....never learned to count that high. Besides that, they somehow make you look older and I sure the fuck don't need help with that.

OK Pute....You must come and fish No excuses this year, like OH.....your too far away... or my basement...LOL...WTF?? you bought a pontooner, it just sits and waits for you....
This year you just have to show me how to briefly and gently abuse some Gunnie browns and Rainbows....
Have not caught a fish on river for months now. Been slow for others too. but soon fish will be waking up and pats rubber legs and red copper johns will be the ticket, as well as some of the tiny midges you like so much..
Really should get here for stone fly hatch if river is not blown out. We really should also hit The gunie over at Never Sink, cruise over in hot rod thru Black Canyon, the drive alone is worth the trip and that section of river is spectacular...
we should over night on my section, have boat bring up supplies, bales of weed, bricks of hashish, a milk goat and one to butcher, a few hens for fresh eggs and stew meat 2 nights, 3 days, live like river kings.
Lets get a group up, even if you don't fish the river is an awesome time just taking it in, hike up canyons lots to explore, endless stories, incredible camp meals, mushrooms if it feels right....You'll never forget a trip with C Man....

Been hanging with guys that are into ice fishing. Went with them to fish Evergreen lake last week. They rigged me up and I never looked at or even touched the rod. Something about a 24" rod looking over a little hole in the ice. GIVE ME A FLY ROD!!!
By the way if any of you get a chance you should go on a trip with C-MAN. He is right...you will never forget it. Party On.

This river rock is some of the oldest and hardest exposed rock in the world. Real stony.....
Add some mushrooms to the mix and all I can say is wow.....

20 years ago ice fished George town, fell on ass, beer froze instant it was opened, not for me..
No more spin fishin either, don't make sense, too much fun casting..

Happy B Day C-man

Me, I get to dig more dirt from proposed garden site, about 2/3rds dug out. Oh for want of a tractor. Hope by this weekend Ill have it done and local nursery guy will have compost + manure again.

Oh, and after a few hrs of that I get to go to work so I can pay bills.

From the archives last summers adventure....

Just back from a 3 day float/ fish trip on the Green River in Utah.
As always there's a story to be told when Chickenman takes a trip.
We took off fully loaded for car camping, Caddie all packed with BBQ grill stove, 6 gallons goat milk, cheeses, veggies, pork chops, German Sausage, sandwich materials, French press, coffee, set up like kings.
after a nice 6 hour drive with plenty of refer stops we arrived at a pay to use campsite, 23 fucking bucks.
We set up at site 71. there were campers across and next to us.
around 7pm after a incredible BBQ lamb chop, garden veggie, dinner they fired up the generator across the way. Loud as shit and very disruptive.
I went over and very politely informed her of the disturbance and asked her how much longer till she shut it off. She said Soon.
745 I went back and told her other campers are upset and you are disturbing the peace, please have some consideration for someone other than yourself.
She said the quite time is 10pm to 6 am I don't have to shut it off.
I told her your are very rude, Mrs. Lambert, than was the name on the reserved for card on road. She slammed the door. It finally ran out of gas at 950pm.
the kids yelled and screamed till about 1130, finally all was quite.
We had to get back at them. I would never do this under any other circumstances but our action was justified.
Around 42o am, my friend went over and poured a pint of water in the gas tank of that loud ass generator..
The next morning at 605am, after quite time was up and it was all quite the car alarm was activated. 3 beeps. 5 mins later another 3 beeps, 5 mins 3 beeps..
Waited another good 10 mins. for them to fall back asleep and the gave them hell. Every 5 mins 10 beeps. Went on for about half hour. They came out in their pajamas all upset about the racket and what is wrong with us??
Told them well you guys have absoutly no consideration for anybody but yourself and if your upset Iam so fucking glad good Morning Lamberts!!!!
One guy came over and was really steamed, somewhat threating but his wife held him back He said fuck you guys, us Lambert's know how to get even, we laughed at him and told him to have a great day, and I'am glad I'll never see your fat ass again..
Off we went laughing our asses off.
We launched and floated some incredible water. way too many folks on the river, fisherman and pleasure rafts packed with families.
About 1/2 way down who did we see. THE LAMBERTS!!
The fat ass and his entire klan were on board, we ignored them, but I think they recognized us. We ran into then off and on all day...Even at the gas station at end of day.
That night we camped else where, very nice and quite not crowded. We did return to the scene of the crime around 930pm and that generator was silent.
Just think, they gassed it up, hit the choke, pulled the cord, nothing. Kept pulling and pulling but it just would not fire up.
Bet they were really pissed, do you think they figured it out?
Sorry but I think we did the right thing even though it involved an act of vandalism.
All the other campers would suffer no more due to her total rudeness.
The river was awesome despite slow fishing. We floated sec. A and B. B 2nd day section was way less crowded, very nice river.
Biggest fish was 20 inch brown..
More stories on this trip at a later time farmers, The Chickenman has come home to roost and await the next chapter in the wild and crazy world he lives in...
