Your exactly right. Those dudes who grow the monster fifteen foot tall and wide polys are like guys who by lifted trucks. My balls are bigger then yours attitude. Keep them small quality goes up. The other thing is outdoor farmers be spraying and spraying and spraying some more. Indoor when you get your shit clean you can keep it there and go full cycles without spraying anything.

Different people like different things.😊 you should stick to og’s and chems. What I don’t like is all this couchlock lazy weed crap that’s hyped to all hell. Bores the crap out of me lol
100%, I'll work OT if I want to get tired, I want energy and alertness, visuals, a nice crisp high. The best I ever grew was in pots outside in the day time then brought into the dark room,I timed the grow for july/august flowering and the full sun made a world of difference. I would agree that indoor lets you have more control though in most cases.

All I'm after is the effects and stability ,I don't care about taste nor bling but to many taste and appeal is a priority. I'll have a pizza if i want something tasty
See I'm all about taste and smell, as well as high, I want something Sativa dominant that won't knock me out, where I can smoke a fatty and go accomplish something with vigor lol. I find outdoor, my outdoor at least, blows any dispensary weed out of the water in terms of taste and smell. Almost all of it tastes the same, you can tell it's not been cured properly, and most of it has a weird musty taste that I can't put my finger on.... and the high is usually just ok... and I've tried a plethora of strains from the dispos. I put my shit in my vape and it's tastes like it smells in the jar, I put dispensary weed in and it either tastes bland or musty or like hay. The dispensaries do a great job of presentation and packaging, but the product rarely stacks up to how it's presented... that's just my experience though in my little corner of the world.

I find most weed has a quick ceiling and smoking more of the same is pointless or you have to wait because the tolerance build up is so soon. I'd hate to have to rely on dispensary or gov weed, I'd be broke looking

I try to not spray anything once flower starts if I can help it, but if I do it's something organic.
Thsts kind of my point, keep it organic and your spraying weekly or you have pest. No I’m between. And even spraying organic like pure crop one you can taste it.

We look for the same highs buddy!

Yeah definitely can be an issue, but I wash all my bud because I have pretty rough outdoor allergies and if I try to smoke dust and pollen I die, so I've never noticed a taste from any spray I've used... but I usually get away with not spraying much in flower, I plant a ton of herbs and stuff that they prefer to eat by my plants to dissuade the critters and usually a good hose down now and again is enough to keep them at bay. Botrytis and PM are usually my biggest nemesis in my climate, I use milk if I get PM and usually amputate once then chop all together if mold pops up.

One time I bought Northern Lights from a seed company and it was complete trash, not even a small buzz but I noticed no bugs would go near it so I dried it,ground it up,and used it to spray other plants the bugs liked and it worked great.

That doesn't mean it's impossible to grow good outdoor though. I'm sure large scale outdoor grown for sale with minimal effort put in probably is poo.
Yeah. It's possible. And I assume Hawaii would be the best place to get some . Because of the volcanic soil. But region locking. No way good Hawaain outdoor gets flown to an export hub.

It's poo because of the latitude. They know it's going to be poo. But they're math guys. With greenhouses and money. Greenhouse and outdoor make you money. But as an export. You don't smoke it.

In my area dispensaries exclusively purchased second rate weed. The best weed being the smalls from a good load of kill. All the good pot was exported. And the best goes on the lines.

True, that's why I try to do a few different strains so I can rotate them, or go to the dispo and grab something new to be disappointed by. 🤣

I have never been to a dispensary, so I can have no opinion. I have grown 90% of what I have smoked in my life. I am in no way an expert grower, the vast bulk of that has been outside in my old field and i am just now getting into indoor growing.

I moved into town a few years ago and CANNOT grow in my yard.( I miss the old farm I lived on for 40 years) so it is imperative that I learn this tent growing stuff. I have completed 6 grows of 3 plants to varying degrees of success. I'll need a few years more before I can grow top shelf.

I'm sure I'll go to the dark side and get a tent eventually, but mostly because winter is like 6 months long here and having an indoor garden might help the seasonal depression lol. At least outside you can blame mother nature if you fuck up, inside you have no one to blame but yourself. 🤣

Last time I grew outdoors was in the 90's .
Never had any issues moving it .
Demand for QUALITY product is always there.šŸ¤” Even still today with all the hoopla...
I had compliments on my product from all, the same as my indoor I recently started. 🄓 šŸ”„šŸ’Ŗ
I won't toot my own horn, it is better for others to do it. But 'reviews' count if you are customer orientated.
I never say this great or whatever. Someone else does .I just say the name ....
I have photos and autos outdoors and expect the same quality, or very very close from them as my indoor.
I may if possible help my outdoors at the end of season by moving them in to finish. You have to have plans or ideas to solve issues.
If this goes down as stated the indoor portion only gets its fair credit for the result.
IMO 75-85% of the result will be from the outdoors.
I think after genetics the biggest factor in šŸ”„ is the grower.
Some people are very quality driven in many facets of their life .
I'll repeat and add regardless of geographic location that a blanket statement is wrong and makes me feel like I have something someone here can't even get in their lifetime .
Just me ? Lucky boy !!!šŸ˜Ž

Yeah in the 90's weed went for 3k and 35 cents was a dollar. Now weed is as little as 0.08 cents a gram for outdoor. I could sell poo all day long in the 90s no problem. But now weed doesn't sell here. It's so inexpensive per pound it isn't worth growing for most people. If someone can buy a pound of premium indoor weed for a couple hundred bucks they're not going to buy outdoor. Like heads up everyone. Legalization demolished the value of weed here. And it can happen anywhere. It costs more to smoke tobacco. If I ever get some good outdoor to smoke oh hell yeah. But for now everyone else's hoverboard works but mine.

It did here too,on the reserves here you can buy it for $50 an oz so theres no point in trying for that market,it's all C grade crap but people are loyal to their wallets and would rather pay $50 for trash than $200 for higher end,now it's just grow for what I like and the love of the plant.

@TSD No, its not impossible. There are many people who do grow successfully outdoors. It's harder in my northern latitude as it would be in yours. However, the one thing I have noticed about the strains you grow ... you choose strains that have a solid chance of finishing before fall. I'm sure that's been intentional on your part and one of the reasons you've had success.

The difference between outdoor grown and indoor grown is really nothing more than indoor grown doesn't have to deal with the natural elements. No wind damage or rain damage. Far less pest issues ... and few problems with thieves. These are the biggest barriers an outdoor grower faces. This does not mean that a good grower cannot grow good weed outside. In my area, if you pick all your strains to finish in September, you have a solid chance of a successful harvest.

Here it dropped in 5 stages. From high 2ks. Then 2ks. Then 16. Then it went to less than 1200 for a long time. Then the bottome fell out. 100 to 500 bucks. Ounces aren't a thing now. You gotta buy a half P at least. 150 to 250. Absurd. And if you buy a lot. Even less. A lot less. Wonder for how long.

This is where some of us have different experiences .
The price has crashed along with quality . Agreed .
But some of us paid more for a long time and don't want $50-100 oz crap. We all clearly remember $800-1000 QPs.
When you have what people want some will pay more .
Maybe the younger generation is tight with their wallet, but the older stoners, and some of the young who hang with the old dudes will pay for what they want if it is true šŸ”„ .
At least in my area ?

I think until people have weed out of the main market. Have to treat it like a niche product like expensive wine, someone will want what's rare, special and the neighbour doesn't have.
