There is more to this then just T. Martin... You gotta look at the whole picture, the justice system once again failed. The outcome sends a message that its OK to profile, stalk and shoot and kill someone based on assumptions alone.... There is a lot that needs to be fixed, 1 small example is the 6 jury system in the six states that allow it for felony cases, I also like to see it divided evenly by gender or race.

So when the system fails us time and time again its important for the people to stand up and be vocal especially when given the opportunity in such events. This is just as important as anything you have listed there, you also gotta remember there is a lot more then Alex Jones and similar alternative media outlets.. You must mix your media source and filter out the BS, be it the mainstream media, alternative media, the web, books ect...

I for one fight the fight every day and its second nature to me, there is no need to be angry about anyone of the things on your list.. It's best to learn and educate as much about each issue and avoid being stuck in the box and break the routine. But when such events occur, be it the topic in discussion, civil rights issues, 9/11 truth protests , Bilderberg events, federal marijuana prohibition/cannabis reform rallies, ect.. Its best to get involved in any way possible.. You got the right idea Celtic...

I don't see this as A fear of "black people" Zimmerman was asked by police dispatch the Ethnicity of the individual, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian is not Racial Profiling it is A description by ethnicity, nothing more nothing less. It's becouse the same shit that happend to you as a kid, walking through the white neiborbood happend to the white kid that was walking through the black neiborbood. That's why. Maybe not exactly the same, but the same. Black folks and white folks arnt that much differant on so many levals.

For ME, it's not the color, it's the sex and age. From my (middle-aged female, Hispanic) perspective, young men are dangerous. Their bodies are raging with testosterone, they pull stupid shit, they have this need to prove themselves, and did I mention all that testosterone raging through their bodies?

When my oldest boy hit high school he became a pretty hard partier. He brought any and everyone home with him, a lot of them very... unsavory characters. I had some very frightening moments confronting them about the hard alcohol they'd brought onto the property, as well as at least one attempted break-in through my bedroom window. One of his friends came into the house completely piss drunk one night, found his way into my bedroom and proceeded to try to sweet-talk me into 'just' kissing him. <shudder> Still grosses me out thinking about it, a kid my SON's age. Ew.

In any event, I think that from those womens' perspective, this was more about young men than anything else. Men are the most dangerous creatures on the planet.

Edit* I'm going to go on a bit of a ramble about my experiences with blacks in different areas of the country. I still remember very clearly my life as a young child in Shreveport. I was a half-Puerto Rican girl who was often mistaken for... I'll use the term mulatto, but the term used by whites towards me was not nice and used the term "yellow." Those of you who know, know. I was refused entrance to more than a few gas station bathrooms for being a little 'high y____w' until my mother would pull down my shorts or bathing suit to show them my ass was white.

The black children and families down there were very kind to me, I felt comfortable, safe and at home with them. The white kids (and adults)? Oh my God was I picked on!

Then we moved to southern California. I still remember the moment I saw a group of black kids at a local mall, and I ran to them thinking that they would automatically want to be *my* friend as much as I wanted to be theirs. Oh my God, the way they cursed me! I was shocked, saddened, horrified, and confused. Who would be my friend? Not the white kids, I'd already learned that. And if not the black kids, then who?

The point is that the locale seems to make a huge difference in peoples' reactions. Out here being black is a novelty, the TWO black kids who attended my son's high school practically had superstar status, everyone wanted to be around them, know what they were doing, all of it. Don't be Mexican around here, though, or you become "one of those people."

Civil rights really started for blacks in 1964, so let's be real it probably took 2o years or more to really kick in! I just finished reading a very interesting article, interview with one of the jurors. The impression I'm left with is that they did their best, and voted as they did within the confines of the law. I don't like a jury of 6, 12 is where it's at.

an all female jury is absurd as well...Zimmermans peers would have included at least 1 male and one non-whitey, imo
