The Bayer Mite and Disease Conrtrol is a 3 in 1. It kicks powdery mildews ass also!
1. sulphur burner only slows them down , it won't cure them
2. azatrol/ azamax did nothing
3. sm90 slowed them
4. stylet oil did nothing
5. neem oil did nothing
6. safer sulphur did nothing
7. avid wiped them out for a few months
8.90% iso spray did nothing
9. rotating avid dip with tetrasan ovacide dip 2 days between total 3 dips of each worked
the key is cutting back all your moms to a single small clone of each plant , you will have an incredibly hard time getting rid of them with a large canopy . it wasn't until i tossed all large plants and focused my assault on them with single node cuttings that i got rid of them . eggs can lay dormant for months . avid dip kills adults while terasan crystallizes and kills the eggs . if you don't address the eggs in time they will return . this is my first hand experience with these little bastards ..
thisI just started flowering and I'm outside, think avid will help? i have a few 8 footers and am applying it via an atomizer
If you have russet mites, or broad mites, then you will need to initiate WW3 tactics. Use Forbid 4F at 1 mL/gal with Cocowet at 2 mL/gal, completely drench EVERY surface of the plant, along with the top layer of soil. 7 days later come in with Avid and do the same at the exact same rates. Then 7 days later come in and do another Forbid 4F, and then 7 days later come in with the Avid.
Oh yes, 24 hours before the Avid do a Power Wash foliar application to clean off the foliage. Then after the plant material is completely dry come in with the Avid.
This is the only way I have ever seen anyone get rid of Russet Mites...they are THE BORG.
be careful with sulphur and oils they dont mix well. they can burnApparently people are having luck here using sulfur burners in their greenhouse. The greenhouse next to ours is way infected, and we now have some in ours as well. This crap is scary! Many, many years of pest free grows and now someone puts a greenhouse up near ours and it's time to deal with nasty little wrigglers.
Die mites, we will defeat you!! =)
Uh no. If you burn too late in flower like the last 2 weeks then it will affect the taste but not poisonous.Sulfer burners should not be used if your into flowering it leaves poisonous residue assorbed into the buds .. atleast that's what I was told .. anyone else ?
