So, I think we need a vote in here, you know just for general consensus 😂
The choices are:
Canna Granny needs to smoke more weed and watch the sky more often or..
Canna Granny needs to smoke more weed and watch the sky less often.
This past week I took out my camera to photo the moon/planet alignment. I took the first pic to see how far off this appears in a normal shot sans any zoom. As soon as I opened and positioned my lens, I caught movement and lights

below the lower planet so I snapped a pic. Two things here, it zoomed across the sky and disappeared and the only reason I managed a shot of it at all was my camera was on the wrong setting. The sport setting, which magically freeze frames subject’s. Any other setting would simply had shown it a blur of lights. The whole incident was about ten to fifteen seconds.
The other pic is an enlargement of those freaky moving lights. Sooooo…what the hell is it…and should I just smoke more??? I’m thinking I need to smoke more..yup.

Smoke more and watch the skies, they're watching us so we should be looking back.....its only polite....

When I was a kid in the summer we'd lay on our back and watch the skies and we could always find stars moving across the sky . We were close to an airport and could tell the difference between planes with flashing lights and theses stars,,,we knew about satellites and just joked about it being aliens but still to this day they were UFO's I'm not sure how many satellites were up there in 1965 6 -7

My Cali house is located in a designated dark sky community so we have lots of absolutely clear nights where I can see the milky way with the naked eye practically. I've been thinking about getting into astrophotography but I'm not there enough to really justify the cost.

Doesn't hurt that one of the most influential observatories is nearby either!!!

I say roll it up and enjoy what our creator has provided us!!🙂

You should see the milky way deep in the Adirondacks over a lake.

Love spending time at Lake Piseco in the Adirondacks - my husband worked there while in college - we go back every now and then.

The night sky is amazing.

Alleghany is pretty cool too. Booked a site there for the peak of the Persid showers this summer - been going for years, never disappointed
