Ah ha! That explains a lot! Well when ya ready to really get ya scrog on, I’ll help 🙂
Awesome video. Quick question , I topped my blue dream once and I'm interested in the scrogg but do you also "top" the other branches? Also about 4 of the other plants that I topped came out with triple branches. Did I do something wrong? I think I have a pic on my indoor virgin page. Thanks and thanks for the video. You should do a series of videos. You would be a hit!
Thanks! I top everything that looks like a top 🙂 and I do it twice. Once at node four, and then again on the second node of the new growth. Nothing wrong with triple branches!
I would love to do a series of videos for sure, but I live out in the deep woods of the Ozarks. We only have one internet service here, slow and sketchy. I have a hotspot on my cellphone, which also does not work out here. I have gone into town and sat in a grocery store parking lot to load a vid, the one above actually lol. Waiting on Musk and starlink for my debuts 😂

So just for clarification, not just the top of the main stalk but the auxiliary branches too? Sorry to bug but I wanna get this right. I need to pull off a miracle with low skills, high expectations and 19 plants. Not all in the tent of course and I'm sure not all females, right, right?

So the idea is you go in the center of the plant and spread all branches out away from center without breaking them of course...they will turn upward toward the light....this opens up room for all the underneath branches to get light and grow...that's why people veg under the net a week or two usually...then some may even keep working the plant under the net until like 2 weeks into flower and they start spring hairs (buds)

The top branches may go out a little further than the lower branches allowing them and the inner little branches to come up toward the light forming field of nugs

You wanna stop working the plant under the net (I believe granny called it tucking) when you see buds for sure maybe even sooner like when you hit flower so you don't stress her out and cause your buds to grow sideways and have to redirect or worse yet cause her to hermie....low stress in flower

Thanks @MDK !
The only part that is different in my process, is that I never veg under my scrog table. I place the top and allow the plant to turn up to the lights, normally about two days and then I flip to twelve twelve. I stop moving or placing anything after the first week. These ladies seem to know what they are doing! 🙂

The only time a trellis net should be on or in a scrog, is to hold up those pretty flowers! Nine inches is my magic number. As soon as they hit nine, I trellis.

At times yes I do. I dab the break with honey and tape it up with vet wrap and keep on moving. Most of the time they have no clue that they are broken. That generally only happens when I allow the plants to get too tall before tabling. I allow the plant to do its own thing, as weaving causes all kinds of probs when you try to remove the top. As they stretch I may move the limb under the table allowing it to basically find its own space.
I'm sorry I may have missed it but how much lower than the original canopy height do you place the table. Looks great, serious skills.

Five by five, three plant (should have been two) scrog, also now under trellis. Concrete Shoes, Lavender Permafrost and Blue Dream.View attachment 1348780
What light is that? SE7000? It’s doing a great job 😁 awesome looking net 😁

I know I tabled super early I’m gunna weave them through and do a topping at bottom table height only the main top has been tipped to this point letting the lowers get up to the net, there close, some are coming through and a few are an inch or 2 low once they hit the net they’ll be topped as well, once through the net I’ll top again and then let them grow until I hit the side of the net then let them come through a bit and flip hopefully it works haha

Also 9 inches for growth, check lol

I like for my limbs to be four to eight inches taller than my table height to start. These ladies were much taller than my top, taller than I like, but I meant to make it happen! I had some serious breaks in my limbs, I dropped honey into the break and taped them and off they went. I don’t recommend that, but that’s just how it happened this time.

Thanks! 🙂I like the 8-9” the best. Just enough to push them below the table. I do basically zero manipulation once I table top them.
Thats the SE 5000. It actually seems a bit too much for the five by five as I have yet to be able to make it to a hundred percent power. Ninety is max. They start praying regardless of the height of the light. Dropped it back to ninety and it’s eighteen inches above the canopy. They seem pretty happy!
I would advise you to leave almost fifty percent of your table for your stretch though. Keep your limbs below the table top. Weaving will create a nightmare for you at harvest time.
Keep me posted on how it’s going! 🙂

awesome! Yeah that’s like this phlizon FD6500 in the 4x4 it says it’ll veg 6.5x6.5 and flower 5x5 and it’s not lying I have it at about 35-40% power at about 24” and photone is hovering me a reading of 600ppfd lol I don’t think it’s lying either when I flowered out the 2 plants under it last time I ran it at about 60% at 30” any closer or higher power and they started doing the same thing praying etc.

That FD8000 in the giveaway will be a beast showing flower coverage of 7x7 I think it said?? It’s almost to the point a single light can power a full bedroom grow lol

Also by weaving I mean pushing the leading top back under each time it gets long enough to reach the next string, I’ll do the same with the other nodes,

What exactly do you mean leave 50% of the table open for flower, are you talking about the lower table or top net?

So you just put the table on top of them and they grow up like that themselves? Do you fem every top that pokes through?do you fem them before or after the table?

Got your “weaving” 🙂
After you set your scrog table and flip to flower, the stretch will be tremendous. Your limbs will grow longer and you will develop a Bud site anywhere that you have a node.
The lower table in my pics are my scrog table and a top, the top net I only add to keep the tall buds from getting heavy and falling over. That too I do when they hit nine inches 🙂
Am I as clear as mud yet? 🙂 If I’m not clear don’t hesitate to ask me to clarify.
Thanks for checking on that for me, that’s weird!

Ok I got you now. I do have an upper table ready to go, can cut the legs to any height, basically I’m letting her grow but tucking her under each time she adds about 4” to the node above the net then I push it under and let it start again , once I have enough nodes availabe I was gunna let them all poke up and grow a bit , then add the top table for support for each one of those sites

Here’s the tables and what Frostette looks like from above under it atm, 2’x4’ table taller table is obviously the bottom lol, lower table can be adjusted for height before added

That’s pretty much the idea. Truthfully one of the most hands off satisfying methods out there. Not to mention it will triple the take on a crop.
I top twice and fim every top just before I go to flower, after that I do two defoils one when the stretch is done the other at three to three and a half weeks and then I feed water and watch them grow! 🙂

I have two tables one for strong indicas its 18” tall and one for sativa or hybrids at 24” tall. What I’m growing depends on which table I use.
You would be better off using one table, allowing them the stretch and then trellising them when your flowers get some height to them.

the stretch worries me, she’s a hell of a grower vertically nothing slows her down so she should be a good candidate for the scrog I figured I’ll get them all topped once, let her grow a bit about 4” or so through the lower net, then top again, wait a good week or so and flip to flower

I’m sure plans will change it all really depends if she fills the net fast enough, once she’s filled to 12/12 that tent will stay on 12/12 I’ll just move plants in and out as they start and finish, that’s why I went with the 2x4 scrog now I can keep 2 plants in the front, the KKSC is in the corner now she may stay right there I’ll flip them both at the same time

It just looks so damn nice haha depending on how I like it I was considering making smaller 2x2 scrog tables for individual plants so they can finish and be moved in and out individually even if other are just starting flower in their net

Thank you. Kinda like an organized free for all.i usually top and then tie the branches down so everything is a top mainline or manifold style. I think what you are doing would take less veg time.thanks so much.realy liked the video.
