For a single cola SOG, you should flip early... About 12" tall and a few nodes depending on the strains. Keep on trucking mike; sounds like you've got quite a nice variety and your next round will be better and full of happy ladies... :cool

im thinkng gonna veg some for 2-3 and the rest for 4-5 i have a 400 hps hotilux in one room and 600 hps hotilux blub in the main the main toom a bit bigger so wat u think o that plan i may even be able to keep em in solos with 2 weeks veg i know i would have to water all the time but got a sub pump and watering wand so takes no time at all that way kinda like a big ass micro grow ???

so that would be about 50 plants total in main room in 2 gal grow bags with a 5 week veg and 60-80 in flowering room two in solo cups

2-3 weeks sounds pretty solid for a SOG. Some people even veg for just 1-2 if they have enough cuts. 4-5 Sounds good for a bit taller of a SCROG too though, but youd probably have to clean up the bottoms of the plants. I don't know about keeping them in solos if you only veg for 2 weeks. You will still have to deal with 60+ days of flowering so i would transplant no matter what IMHO because those roots should want a little more space if ya know what I mean. If you keep them in the Solo's you might even have to water multiple times a day and such.

Lookin good though man! Sounds like you have a good line up going. Just green em up a bit with maybe some cal mag and more base nutes, and you should be gravy.

had same thought you did so i did some math stacked solo cups in empty earth box ....and decided put about 18 cuts in a earth box the res should allow some extra room for roots and make sure i dont need water all the time hoping works out since went n def early last time added bat guano to soil feeds for about 6 weeks the perfect amount of time so im (fingers crossed) confidant ill nail it this time

Yo man whats up! Looks like you got some great strains going. You said that you have a PH problem. What do you think caused that? Do you use any fulvic or humic acid? That stuff really helps with nutrient uptake in wider PH ranges no doubt. Can't wait to see those strains you got going like that Blue Dragon.

For some reason I wasn't thinking with my last post and didn't see this one. Shady is right. If you want to do a super efficient SOG you veg a bigger number of cuts for a shorter amount of time, in order to get high yield with less veg time.

hey mike finally got sum down time now to read thru all these journals i havent had anytime to follow. skimmed thru the last few posts.

I veg for 4-5 weeks for my SCROG. usually size is around 18-23" tall with supercropping or FIM. i do clean up the underside to avoid humidity build up and focus auxin hormones to the top of the plant where the dense colas should grow.

Ive seen in my books that a true SOG is clones around 3-4" when rooted then they veg til around 6"-8" tall depending on strain and flip to 12/12

the earth box is in high times etc its a trough that is full of soil with a res at bottom seperated by a plastic screen with holes in it for roots to grow throu and the two corners of the screen dip into the res those corners have soil in em that wick up water to the rest of the soil as needed its called a wick system

im done with the earth boxs :(i feel like i gave em a fair amount of time to get solved and im not the best grower in world but got decent skills and just couldnt seem to nail them bitchs so i pulled out the healthest ones killed off the rest and went down to hydro store and got 60 5x5 sqaure pots going with min veg time and sog for sure:ridinghorse:


so that will be two flowering rooms both min veg i got some mo ram in the clone dome about 25 and and few showing roots so those will be the first to go in

fyi one room is empty the other is full of 25 clones idk how many will fit in the empty room about 50 im guessing but got 60 + to be sure

yeah the earth boxs come highly recomended from high times and other peeps but i cant seem to nail em so ima save for some outdoor next season but as far as the indoor im going with reg containers from now on i count on my yield for my meds and cant keep fuckin around with these boxs so ima run a big ass sog with min veg in 5x5 containers

btw strains im running are purple trash purple mist cacey jones alaskan thunder fuck sour apple sour grape haze blue dream vanilla purps snow cap jungle fever laced rhino querkle and green crack

bit of yellowing on those four transplanted from earth box the atf and the the sno cap are fading slightly too those all are gonna get a high -N- dose of flowering nutes next watering other than that everything going great
