The Sky Cuddler is an earlier finishing plant than the other two, so I'm generally attributing its leaf yellowing to it just being "that time." The next one is starting to fatten up, I'll see how late I can keep the leaves green on her. It's possible that there was a minor deficiency, but the purpling that preceded the yellowing of the leaves makes me think it's just part of the natural process. Plus they've still been getting fed regularly and are in pretty hot soil.

@dire wolf I know what you mean! There's just something about the Ghash and the Ghaze that make me want to look at the buds and marvel. I like the Sky Cuddler, but it doesn't have the same kind of allure.

So your getting some of those symptoms I commonly get during the last part of flowering, especially that sky cuddler on the left hand side, the dis-coloration along the leaf margins. Any thoughts on the cause?

Is it just natural ripening and just should be disregarded? or perhaps a potassium excess or def? Or a phosphorus issue? No question, the buds look great, and I see signs of new hair growth, alongside the older red colored hairs, so it's most certainly looks to be fully engaged.

Just wondering what others might think about this phenomena.

Have these plants been running on the cooler side of things? Maybe cooler temps (I see plenty of purpling in some of the plants) combined with later stages of growth induces some potassium symptoms? It's always a big mystery to me when things get to this stage.
Maybe hydro guys can feed , fine tune till day 75 , but I don't have much experience with intravenous feeding ......

Yea, I hear ya, I've been pretty much of the same philosophy also. Many of my strains do similar things also, and I have mostly chalked it up to the same things as you state, just being toward the end, or being a little strain dependent, or related to some cool temps. Sometimes actually, I think it's just some cumulative effects of several factors that finally result in discoloration, and finally curl up. Just naturally cannibalizing itself, and that was closest to the area which needed the nutrients.

Personally, I think they just get really delicate and frail toward the end, so there's a mid zone you kinda have to somehow shoot for... Not over, and not under... and as you say, if your running the same things over and over, the zone is always going to be slightly different. might get it down pat after awhile, but if your changing up all the time, it's virtually impossible. If too much effort is spent trying to correct things, it could cause other problems as well, or even worse, fuck up the taste with excessive guesses at solving the issue at hand.

Many of the darker and purple and/or other deep hues have always been a particular interest of mine. I have a personal appreciation for these types of strains, the medicinal qualities, the pain reduction, and stress relieving body effects they possess. I really like the purple haze I did a little while back, and some of the crosses I've been doing are using these types of cultivars.

I've been thinking about putting together the hydro circulation setup, I haven't used it in years, it just sits around, maybe It would be a fun project, and give me a change. I really don't mind micro managing the nutes, for me, it's kinda fun. But I certainly can improve.

So yea, I hit them with the acid tonight, it was a bit more acidic than I think I should have done, and it wasn't very freaking soluble, that really threw me for a loop, I even made it twice, so make sure it wasn't me. The pH must have been like 4.5-5 after I checked, and that's just with a touch of that shit, maybe 1/32 tsp or like .05 gm in 1000 ml, I also used some glycol to help increase the solubility, I also used 1 TBSP of mag/sulfate. After awhile, and it soaked in a bit, I did another wash with just the mag sulfate/glycerin (no salicylic) and called it a day.

There standing up nice and pretty right now, so it looks like it works well. Plus, they just got put to 12/12 so I'm hoping it will help with budding as well. I hit them all though, even the new clones and the small sprouts, the could all use a little stretching. This looks like a promising technique.

When I made it the first time, I tried to pH correct the fluid, but it refused to cooperate, and it kinda "flipped" ph, from like 5>>8, without being able get it anywhere inbetween, this is an indication that the pH adjuster isn't working and is either producing some type of precipitate or a gas maybe? (thus I threw it out and started over without it) who knows, but I agree using the mag/sulfate as a buffer is the best course of action.

So both of the Tangieland grew to a node, then flopped over and died. Never seen anything like it, but whatever. Dropped the last of the Kubanskiy Ubiyza, and that'll be the last fem dropped for... a long time. 😄

Next to drop:

[TNF Raspberry Picker x (MAC x Cherry Wine)]
Blueberry Amnesia
Blue Power Mango

Next to chop (in order):
Sky Cuddler
G13 Hashplant
G13 Haze

Next to flip:
Pipatxu
Panama Red
Lemon Citron

Next to get up-potted:
Moonshine x Amnesia
G13 Hashplant
Lemon Citron

Holding Pattern:
Moonshine x Amnesia
Heavy Grapefruit x 2
Lemon OGK x 2
Supreme Lemon x 3
Lemon Pie x 1

Yet to pop:
Kubanskiy Ubiyza
Siberian Haze

I’m intrigued as hell after reading that.... anxiety is a new one for me but it’s debilitating at times, having to watch what I smoke was never a thing I had to worry about.
Yeah, it's definitely a very unique smoke. Haven't really had anything else that's similar, most notably that it seems to actively counteract anxiety in a way not too dissimilar from Xanax.

I also dropped a bunch of fem seeds today, all citrus-flavored except for one (Birthday Funk). I'm really hoping to get Lemon OGK's that look on par with the ones that were going last time before I had to migrate, same with the Supreme Lemon. If I get a male from the Tangieland, I might throw some pollen at the others

DNA's Lemon OG Kush x 2
Vision Seeds' Supreme Lemon x 2
Crockett's Tangieland regs x 2
Europa's Heavy Grapefruit x 2
Greenbud's Lemon Pie x 1
Cannarado's Birthday Funk x 1

Once these get off the ground, then I'll be in a better position to manage multiple male plants and their pollen successfully.

Then maybe I'll drop the Milk Tea Haze (Nepalma x Orient Express), or maybe the G13 Hazeplant, or maybe the C99 Durban-Thai x Killer Queen... One day I'll have the space and resources to grow everything I want to. One day.
I’ve been looking at that birthday funk , sounds very intriguing. Very Curious to see how she turns out.

Welp, she's dead now after the cat decided that the top was irresistably delicious. 😄

But Nepalma is a great anxiolytic. Although realistically I've found that edibles are generally more effective at managing anxiety than inhaled THC, there are some exceptions.

Haven’t experimented with edibles much tbh in all of my years. one thing I know that works is CBD isolate, I’ve never grown for anxiolytic properties before but may look for something along those lines after my next two grows. Also you have another hip-hop-head right here! All I listen to. Mostly underground nowadays but a die hard hip-hop aficionado right here lol

You might look at cultivars with high limonene.

Kubanskiy and Siberian Haze both popped! Looking forward to getting those back in the rotation.

Defoliated the newer arrivals to the flower room today. Sour Sorbet, G13 Hashplant, Durban-Thai x C99, and Maui Waui are looking much neater, with more bud sites exposed.

The Sky Cuddler and G13HP are getting cut this week. Just waitting for some trichomes to amber on both.

Excellent post, here we go. Didn't realize this was possible. Make's perfect sense, as an ethylene regulator
