Do you recommend Best Value Vacc over the other one he posted?no offense but you still have a lot to learn before you should go blasting anything.. with that said you should blast onto the pyrex and scrape it onto the parchment.. and that looks better then the last one you posted for sure but still questionable. i dunno why but theres something about that top mini ball valve and the way they call it MB and its suppose to act as a check valve? they also dont use thread tape, that just doesnt seems to legit? id have to inspect it and pressure test things before i could make an actually assessment tho
the one you just showed will hold 1 ounce give or take
this is a very basic video showing the basic set up and use of this type of extractor
Are you suppose to vacuum after the end process? No for sure I'm well aware iv got a good bit to learn and usually I would just crack on and do it but with the inherent danger in bho extraction is kinda stopping me from just trying to learn a bit before I even buy anything since if I buy a peice o shite I don't have the money to then buy another better model.
I appreciate the help lads.big time.
Thanks for the info! I looked up the vacuum you use, do you use the 15500?? Seems like there are couple modelsBlast SAFELY
Purge in a vac oven or chamber. Temps depend on strain and finished product (waxy, shatter, honeycomb, ect). Need at least -29.5ug vac for days and days. Please check out this site and link before buying or blasting anything. Butane is not friendly to sparks and shit. Easy way to blow yourself up, and innocent people and property. Even a cell phone can trigger an explosion.
Check out skunkfarm research. Top noth. Greywolf is the extraction guy I go to for help. Scroll to the bottom for all their work and related links. Read, read, and read some more. Wealth of knowledge and safety precautions.

Absolutely... i recommend getting a pressure gauge on any sealed extractor( closed column, closed loop etc.)D

That sounds extremely expensive. You must not use it much.. I couldn't even begin to imagine how many oil changes I would have done if I did this.. I've only ever done 1 on my old Bvv pump and 2 on my yellow jacket in a yearDon't remember thw model #. Just known it's a 2 stage 5cfm pump. I change oil every time I use it for peace of mind
Do you have a vacuum regulator? How do you keep the vacuum where you want it and not exceeding 29.5hg running it all day.. and why do you run it non stop I'll just turn mine on every half hour to hour for a couple mins let some air in then pump it back to 29.5"1 gallon pump oil (mineral oil) is cheap. Aboutn20.00 gal. Cheapminsurance changing oil to have a perfectly working pump. Most ppl change the oil after every use. My uses consists of 24 to 72+ hr runs at a time.
If it's in there being flipped properly every 2-4 hrs then it has to be depressurized for that flip.Do you have a vacuum regulator? I wouldn't say most people. I've never met any that does this I think changing your oil after every use is extreme over kill and running it for 24hr+ at a time is unnecessary as well
That just goes to prove iv got a lot to learn as I had no clue you needed that vacuum thing(still not sure what it's for.i assume to make sure the thing is totally empty of air/gas before use?) or that you put it in an ice bath.

I stand by what I said it's not necessary to run a vacuum pump 24+ hrs at a time!running 24+ hrs at a time is unnecessary?
Remember to say IMO
Because that is some wack facts your just throwing out there.
Misinformation is not cool.
What's the best way to get last bits of candy from your collection pot? (I make a mess of flying shards.) In the past I usually winterized with etoh in a buchner, so easy to empty and clean the pot simultaneously. But think I'm about to switch to inline dewaxing for a while, and those piles of powder going into the oven looks convenient. Here tiz!
I'm the one who named the creation "cotton candy", which I stumbled on by accident because I had no view ports and was guessing at the state in the lower chamber based on pressure and where the ice ring was reforming. Clearly I forgot to inform Google and it hasn't caught on as the currency of the day, but use of the technique is spreading.
Here a peeecture of one of my runs, as well as a link to a WolfWurx Mk IVC in action producing cotton candy for Medizen in NV.
