If we decide that 6 is the perfect number and every single time the point moves to 6.2 or 5.8 and we run in there and adjust it, it is possible we can be working against our plants.
yeah David Robinson on exposed mentioned if your getting ph fluctuations between 5.5-6.2 choose a more optimal range 5.8-6.2 ..your not getting fluctuations which can lead to deficiencies .my post was if the ph has dropped ph could b a little sign it has secreted an acid to take up more p or k.That is very interesting indeed. I was doing that when I first started hydro but I had read something where it said to let it ride down and up through the acceptable ph range, staying away from the lockout areas, in order to facilitate a range of nutrient uptake ph zones, for lack of a better term, whatever they call it. I started doing just that, letting it ride between 5.5 and 6.2. If I have time when I adjust, I will do so gradually over 2 or 3 adjustments so as not to shock the plant with a large ph swing.
That’s so cool to me. I wish I fully understood the interaction. The plants also talk to each other via fungi. The interactions are just so complex the more you learn the more amazing it is.Read this on growing exposed…if your plants need say more k then this could b a clue..Plants secrete acids and bases in their root zone to adjust the pH depending on what nutrients they want to eat. If a plant wants more phosphorous and potassium, it may actually secrete an acid, dropping the pH of the rest, so that it can uptake more P and K. It is also possible if the plant wants more calcium, for instance, that it may raise the pH in order to make that calcium more available. If we decide that 6 is the perfect number and every single time the point moves to 6.2 or 5.8 and we run in there and adjust it, it is possible we can be working against our plants.”
I’ll tell you what brother. On my next fog grow coming soon I’ll feed one res p and k rich from day 1 and see if the ph trend is different in that system. Maybe the ph will trend up? If so I’m gonna kiss you. Because that would be too cool.yeah David Robinson on exposed mentioned if your getting ph fluctuations between 5.5-6.2 choose a more optimal range 5.8-6.2 ..your not getting fluctuations which can lead to deficiencies .my post was if the ph has dropped could b a little sign it has secreted an acid to take up more p or k.
Love the setup ..Coming soon to a SweetLeaf near you...

That stuff closest to these words is dangerously close to larf lol.

Thanks bro, means a lot coming from you.You are sooooo dialed in.
Congrats on a great grow managed like a pro.
Thank you and ya, super stoked for this harvest!Nice pics and buds look awesome, wont be long now..
Thanks Jeff, pretty easy when I got genetics like this to work with. I'm going to have to figure out what else you got that I would like to sprout one day in the future.looking dank my friend! Keep on keeping on!
if theres certain terps or affects or whatnot you are wanting to look for just lmk! sure I can help ya pick somethingThanks bro, means a lot coming from you.

I want some complex stuff, I don't care if it is scraggly and fugly and hard to grow. I'm looking for rare cannabinoids like THCP.if theres certain terps or affects or whatnot you are wanting to look for just lmk! sure I can help ya pick something
Have you ever worked with a column chromatograph? IIRC, I was in an extraction lab and they had one of those machines. The lab guy told me you can separate and extract each individual cannabanoid with it.I want some complex stuff, I don't care if it is scraggly and fugly and hard to grow. If you have ideas, I'm all ears.
Yunnan Dragon - Ill have to see if I can dig up reports off my old harddriveI want some complex stuff, I don't care if it is scraggly and fugly and hard to grow. I'm looking for rare cannabinoids like THCP.

cool cool I'll be back when I have a few more seconds. Thanks.Yunnan Dragon - Ill have to see if I can dig up reports off my old harddrive
i remember for sure it had some of the rarer THC types, my stoner brain is wanting to say THCV and Z. Congolese kush was as well very exotically terpene rich but Im sold out on that one. I'd bet that the golden dragon (Khmer cambodian x Mekong thai) would also come in high on the more thin leaf type terpenes, as its very terpene rich for such a wild strain. I'll have to do some digging thru old hard drives on my more "thin leaf" types as thats really where those rarer terpenes are hiding. Modern genetics being so heavy to the kush, cookies, chem, fast flower, selecting for dense and fast and bag appeal seems to shed off a lot of the more rare terpene types.

This is gonna be good.......cool cool I'll be back when I have a few more seconds. Thanks.
EDIT OK, I'm back. Woo hoo made it to the weekend in one piece.
I would love to share notes with you. Let me know if you want to move this off board or have a call this weekend. I think there are about a dozen things we can help each other with. Sunday is open for me.
THCV is still a great cannabinoid to have your fingers on. Often found in Durban Poison and other African sativas. They are doing testing on it now as a treatment for Parkinson's and diabetes. This one shows some promise. And it is up up up if you are looking for a smoke before you clean your house. I built my whole basement lab on THCv lol.
THCP is another thing altogether, while being the same base molecule.
THC = what we know
THCV = up and appitite suppressant, kinda like coffee in your weed. By itself is not psychoactive.
THCP = 35X more psychoactive than THC
So that little tail on the end makes a helluva difference.
I'm in search of THCP. I'll help you find it any way I can. If you do find it, you will sell more seeds than you can imagine.
The implications for breaking thru tolerance are pretty huge for medical patients. For stoners, it just means stronger weed.
