Sshz for what it is worth the 1700 E and 1650 E have some differences that are more that just subtle. The 1700 E will stretch the plant more than the 1650 E IMO. The 1700 E appears to have a higher PPFD, I could run the 1650 E a few inches closer. I was looking at things yesterday with lights on and I had the lights about 14 to 16 inches from the top of the canopy and I was starting to see some of the leaves up high starting to do the whole point down thing, while the lower leaves where praying. So I raised the lights, should be interesting to see if anything changes. I am at like day 16 of 12/12.
Stupid question here but why do you feel that CO2 is going to give you a few more inches of breathing room? I see CO2 as increasing photosynthesis is there something else I am not considering?
Because light burn and stress happens when the plants photosynthetic rates can no longer keep up to the amount of light supplied... co2 great improves photosynthetic rates so you can run more intensity and thus more energy is made by the plant for growth.
hahaha ill have to take some tomorrow!!!
Off the wall out to left field idea... if its a smaller area put a screen over the lights... should reduce the intensity by about 10-20%.
