Hi guys, I'm a little worried, blackouts are non stop during the light cycle sometimes plants are probably only getting about 6-8 hours of light daily, and when the light goes off those emergency lightbulbs I have been using only last about 30-40 minutes at maximum then they dim down rapidly and they will stay on very very dim, at less than 10% light until the power comes back or I remove them for the start of the dark cycle a 7pm. Will this hurt my plants in any way? The light cycle is all screwed up and the blackouts last about 4-6 hours.

Dark cycle is never interrupted.

These are the plants today.

When I was making my foray into growing outdoors, I read that cannabis only needs about six hours of direct sunlight daily. Your lights aren't sunlight but that still applies. They should be fine with shorter days, so long as they're able to get an uninterrupted night.

They probably won't yield as much. But it looks to me like you're on track for a good yield though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

One thing seems to be true: If you can grow in Cuba you can grow anywhere!

I got a little creative yesterday and today and decided to fabricate some reflective border housing for the light so that it would concentrate more on the plants and disperse less to the sides. So I went to a friend's warehouse and with his permission i Strategically Transferred Equipment to a Alternate Location 😂 and I gotta say I'm pretty happy with the outcome, because right now I could use all the light I can get.

I also connected an emergency led light bulb to the bathroom lighting so during the light cycle it will turn on and use a battery to keep the light on during power outages. To make matters worse as I was leaving the power went out 🤦🏻‍♂️so that little installation came handy right on time.

This is how it came out, it's a little ghetto I know but it works.

I spoke to some people I know that work for the electricical company, and they told me that the grid block were I have the plants have synchronized power outages, Moday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays the power outages are from 8am to 2Pm and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday are from 2pm to 8pm...

So I decided to change the light and dark cycle, I was doing from 7am to 7pm light but now since most of the power outages are during the day. I'm going to do 8am to 8pm Dark Cycle, because I can guarantee darkness even if theres a power outage. And I'll do the light cycle from 8pm to 8am so that the plants get the most light available...

Today I was supposed to turn on the lights at 7am, instead I went over there, covered everything really well to make sure no light was leaking through to the plants and I kept the light off. So basically today they will have 24 hours of darkness until 8pm that I turn on the lights.

I dont know if I'm doing right by them, but I think it's the best to try and cope with these power outages.

Thanks man, it's been an uphill battle, hopefully they stay healthy and on track, I would hate to have a extended flowering period because of these outages for now I gotta make do with the cards I'm being delt as they come.
Keep plugging along dude, we're pulling for you. You deal with a lot of adversities and you're adjusting when to pivot. I'm looking forward to your success!

Day 26 of flower, last night was the first night on the new light cycle for the plants, they had the light turned on from 8pm to 8am. I was supposed to feed them also last night, but I decided to wait about 3 or 4 more days until the next watering, plants looked healthy, didn't notice any major signs of stress the plants are now in the dark part of their cycle until 8pm.

These are the plants today.

Thank you 🙏 it's been an uphill battle to get here, just a few more weeks and I'll finally be able to harvest and enjoy the rewards from all this hard work.
By now I'd normally have the next set of moms sprouting.

I honestly want to make some changes and repairs on the house where the plants are in so I can't have workers in the same house as the plants, so after this harvest I'll wait a few weeks until the repairs are done and then I'll plant 2 more ladies. That will also give me enough time to set up the solar power kit, bring the AC infinity ventilation kit and I might even construct a grow room from wood inside one of the bed rooms and move the plants out of the bathroom 😂 with the ventilation system here and the solar kit installed I might also buy another light to be able to have 4 plants instead of 2.

My next run will probably be in mid January, and it will be completely different to this last one, hopefully for the best.

I decided to feed them today since they were in need of a watering and honestly I dosaged the 17-17-17 to about 6/6/6 I know it's a very high Nitrogen dose but since I have 4 maybe 5 more weeks left in flower I think the plants will be ok and won't feed anymore for the next two weeks. Just going to water them normally from now on, and depending on how I see the plants react to this feed I will either feed again in the final 3 weeks with this same Nutes but less dosage or I will use the foliar spray nutes that contain micro.

So far the plants look good, some lower leafs are a little crunchy and some have burns on them, probably from the high N nutes but it's unavoidable at this point, just going to feed as little as possible from now on.

I would expect to see some foxtailing if nitrogen is pushing it too hard so I think you're in good shape. Also leaf tips look good.
