If your roots are damanged from over watering. And to help increase your chance of success. Plastic pots , same media (maybe more perlite) Is an idea I support. Let's get you good at this 1st.

I think this is going to be the final decision right here, on the next steps, Unless anyone has any solid rejections. Im pretty motivated to try some new pots and hopefully see some good results. Hopefully.

this is what i think mimeds face looks like when he sees another post from me. HAHAHAHAHA.
Appreciative of ya mimed, and everyone, aqua, i know youre out there lurking. Hidden and bunker, ill keep yall updated on the changes. :D

in my mind, i think the plastic pots may help my uneven watering too!

You already knew what was right. Like you said, FFOF add in perlite 50/50 or 60/40 mix.
I should start showing all my screw ups and what I did to fix, like I could do a daily spot on all my mistakes, LoL. Its one of social medias draw backs, we tend to not show everything, just what we want to be seen.

Everything is all on the way!!!! amazon is saying thursday ill get most of the new stuff needed. Thank god for family man. But got a new ph pen coming, bluelab, and the new pots, some extra perlite, got my FFOF already stocked, and then i got some new seeds on the way. Just woke up for the morning, catching a nice buzz, taking a couple dabs before i even peek in the tent. Im worried. I had to water my GOOD plants last night, water time is not a good time for me. So im going to be sure to get nice and high before i go see the devastation. LMAOOO.

I have found out my plants are being watered reallly unevenly. theyre not getting watered evenly. from looking through my pics im learning certain things and see what i do wrong. so i hope i fixed this last night. i slowed down, and, i actually watered more than usual, i honestly dont think im even giving these plants enough, i dont always get runoff, last night i had a river of run off flowing. i know, i gotta becareful cuz the overwater, but i think i did good, i just felt good about it lol.

I DID IT!!!! So, ive always waited until the plant started wilting to water. Being nervous of overwatering. Doing this, is causing my inner rootball to really really dry out, making it become a rock, and all my water to pour out the sides of the pot because im like watering a rock, so i was like fuck it, the girls felt light, very light but no wilt, i took the risk, i watered a good bit, and DAMN she grew like an inch overnight. her leaves look good!
This is the first plant thats looked perfect after watering, through its whole day. Everytime i water, my plant goes south, turns all sorts of colors. These one are looking good, im fucking getting this. This watering experience was like a breakthrough in my brain lol. I was able to see a good amount of runoff, and i was able to tell my touching the soil and feeling the pots when it was time to water. slowly im getting this.

Bunker, when i do that, i have an issue of not watering all the roots, so i get dry pockets and it fucks with my plants, i think..... I could be wrong, but as i continue to kill plants i continue to see certain things im doing, or certain trends im seeing and when i take the plant out of the pot, it has dry pockets. i think this is from uneven watering. honestly, my plan is still just to continue to aim for 10% run off, but watering more evenly. I feel lke when i get plastic pots, it will help this dry pocket issue because i wont have water running out of the sides

Read the article above. if you are just pouring water into the pots... Yah.

I would lightly wet the pots, do the same for the other plants. Giving them a minute or so for the water to soak down. Then repeat. This helps prevent heavy run off.

ninja tip: You dont need to water to 20-30% run off with soil. 100% saturation takes awhile to dry out. Just give it enough to drink up. This will shorten up how often you water, and let you feed more.

also +1 cool points for the meme.

Maybe for super soil or the mythical “living soil” but runoff is very important if using fertilizer or even calcium filled tap water.

How else do you wash away excess buildup and waste?

Not a soil grower but I think salt based ferts should have some run off... Organic nutes should not.

Just my opinion

275ppm last i checked, but fuck it, im not doing shit right now, let me grab the meter and go do another test right quick. i filter it down to 150ppm. just with a dumb brita type filter lol.

If it gets you to 150 ppm youre golden.

You dont need expensive wasteful ro water in most cases.

Its good for humidifiers though.
