who knew, welkheads....I brought all three of those onto the scene back in the day. They originally came from a"Welk Head" I met in the parking lot of The Lawrence Welk Show back in 56.
Loompa Farms Miami White is "the White" from a friend in the online who lives in Florida. It's not white widow or from krome for that matter. Hope that clears it up a bit
Im curious, there were some TRC Sharon Widow seeds sent to a Grindshop breeding Gsizzle friend in FL last year, for him to play with. Wonder if these are from him under a diff moniker?
Same cut as Krome's White, right?
Yes, the Miami white that you see us providing clubs in flower form are all the same cut Krome showed up with online. Props to him for sharing it with the community. I think the main reason my name comes up alot with the white is because I produce flowers for med clubs and have the white dialed in like a mofo, I have her maximizing her genetic potential and all the famers here at LoompaFarms are all Organic soil growers which is also why my White comes out so good compared to others. Of course there are other very good growers online that have done the same thing I have, but the majority of these cash cropping yield focused commercial growers don't know what they are doing and don't even come close to maximizing her potential. So when you try the Loompafarms white, it is better than 90% of the white you see being produced and distributed into med clubs. I tagged the "Miami" onto the name because once again, so many rookies out there nowadays that people couldn't get it out of their head that the White is not White widow, So I tagged Miami onto it to help distinguish the cut for the uneducated masses out there that have no idea about genetics. And "miami" was used since that is part of the story about where it came from.
I do actually have some beans of the white crossed to the Yeti which we call the abomidable snowman. I will be dropping those also when I make my drop here.
Hello MsOso I am a socal medical marijuana patient and was wondering if i was to take the long drive from l.a. county to lake forest will I be able to have some of your meds delivered to a location in the cityHi Coolest:
The Miami White is what Loompa said it is: Krome's cut...and the video you saw on that review link you posted were organically grown INDOOR nugs of the cut grown by Loompa and offered at rICOChet's former iteration, ICOC.
Years ago, when rICOChet opened a storefront in SoCal before the feds went nuts, we were lucky enough to meet with a vendor from the Loompa crew and LOVED what he showed us....and when we asked the name of those frosty white buds, he told us Miami White (Florida White Widow x NorCal OG). I'll bet he didn't even know what it actually iaswhen he told us.
Nevertheless, we loved ALL Loompa's flowers, including the White, and so did our members and we became the exclusive Orange County home of his grows (INDOOR) and eventually met up with the Loompa crew and learned the facts, but the FL White Widow x NorCal OG name stuck among the MMJ community.
The strain when grown by Loompa, is A++ and pretty legendary and in high demand in SoCal still. He did say on this forum that he has her dialed in (but then everything he grows is absolutely top notch) and all the reviews on our site attest to that fact.
Now, we have seen this strain grown by countless growers from the Loompa crew and she hardly ever looks like she does when Loompa grows her, in fact sometimes the frost has a more yellowish cast not the pure white frost Loompa gets from her, and the stems a bit thicker and the bud a bit leafier. We have also seen many indoor grows of the White Fire from other growers around OC and none have compared with Loompa's.
The Miami White from Loompa continues to be a staple and an absolute favorite among our collective's members along with his grows of Chemdawg-D, 91 and 4 and the legendary Headband that we call Underdog OG/Underdawg/Underdogg (ugh!) or Loompa's Headband (name changed because of this not-so-great 707 Headband that was going around back then that looked like a kind of diesel that just turned to shake if you touched a bud).
Now say we had a couple of grows of the Miami White of different qualities on our shelf at the same time, one grown by Loompa himself and a couple grown by associate growers...many of our members just got very confused if we told them they were all the same strain just grown by different growers, because they all looked so different, were of different quality and therefore different price point.
I agree the name changes are too confusing, and you are right, the story has taken on a life of its own, but only because Loompa's grows of the strains are so good, otherwise no one would talk about them or even care. Anyway, that's the real story if you care to pass judgement.
I have smoked alot of what you just described being labeled as White Diamond OG any chance of them being the same cut? I know what you mean about the flavor its there but its not there. There are OG notes. Got the cut from mr.dank who is good friends with krome.. There is a slight OGness to the strain when flushed well but mostly it's muted and tart...The high is like Xanax.. No real character, just really potent and unmotivating.
OK, relax everyone. I'll state again, What we produce for clubs in California is the same cut Krome showed up with. The story being that it came from miami, when we started to distribute the flowers, people couldn't get it through their heads that It was not White widow. So I tagged on the Miami to make it clear. I would of thought that it would have been clear to you folks also. It is the same cut, no ifs, doubts, or maybe's...it is the White" cut that hit the boards years ago.
I obtained my cut long before any other breeders got their hands on it and started making seeds. I got it before the majority of you even came to the online community. What I have predates everything except the date it showed up obviously. Its the one cut we use that I did source from the boards.
Now we all know, or should know that flowers from the same plant grown by 2 different people in different growing regiments can often look a little different. Thats a fact. I think you guys are just disputing semantics. Ive seen the same OG cut grown byt 10 different people all in different regiments and all will have slight differences, all due to grower and growers environment. Theres no point arguing that something looks different than some other guys. But I can gaurantee you that what I have is the "White" that krome brought on the scene. No one has changed any names, names have just been clarified as to what they are. Ive been on these boards since almost day one starting with Overgrow, Ive seen it all and have grown it all, well almost, all except these "new" cuts showing up which are all just s1's from bag seed or home breeders or some guy crossing it out to some male and calling all the progeny by the mother's name.
The white is also subject to these variances, Ive seen friends grow the same cut I have(Because I gave it to them) and when they show up on my doorstep it looks totally different than the way my version in my rooms come out. Soil and Hydro will also have bag appeal differences, organic vs chem will show differences, how long you take them will also show differences. Its all semantic guys. Your looking at the same plant and because they look different, you think they are different. That is not the case nor is it true. Any experienced grower should know this. Actually, any experience4d grower does know this, if you dont, then Id suggest you test and call me out and run it out in different environments between your friends....Run testing for yourselves and see if I'm not telling it the way it is.
