The Hazes - Nevil's Haze #36 x (Skunk x Mullumbimby Madness) and Nevil's Haze #21 x Mullumbimby Madness
Nevil is a sativa lover and the finest sativa he has ever encountered is Haze. The Haze story is long and clouded with many unknowns, but we do know that Nevil's Haze has proven itself over the years. Nevil chose two Haze males to work with, he called them A and C. Nevil's Haze is a cross using both males. The mother is made from the Haze A male crossed to Northern Lights #5 - the best indica Nevil has ever found. The male is Haze C - NL5HzA x HzC.

Nevil grew out a large number of Nevil's Haze and chose two females to work with - #21 and #36. #21 represents the best high, with a soaring, psychedelic old school Thai effect. #36 represents the most practical plant in terms of flowering time, yield, height but is still a very fine high too, which can be categorized as euphoric. Opinions are divided as to which is the best high. The spiritual warrior preferring NH21, will often sneer at the NH36 lover's preoccupation with sybaritic pleasure, while as the sybarite, looks on with perplexity at the 21 lover's attempts to come to grips with his realizations.
Nevil grew out many sativa lines in the search for something as good as Haze and the one he chose as being the best of them all was Mullumbimby Madness, a line maintained by the same person since 1985 but dating to the early 1970s. It is most likely a Thai type hybridised with something else of very high quality then worked a lot over the years. It has a prolific yield producing huge colas, plants of 10+ pounds are regularly grown outdoors in Australia. It smokes like a fine old Thai. Best of all, unlike Haze it isn't stretchy and flowers indoors in reasonable times. This broad leafed sativa has a high that is profoundly cerebral and long lasting and quite reminiscent of Haze itself. The purist will often claim that the MM is superior to the NH, as the high is unclouded with any indica like characteristics.

NH#36 x Sk/MM is designed to be the ultimate indoor production plant but with top quality too. The NH#36 is a plant very suited to indoor cultivation with large yields and high quality. Crossing it to the Skunk x Mullum father will give plants of really top quality sativa with large yield in 10-12 weeks on average, with the possibility of snagging an 8 week wonder. Nevil considers this line to be akin to Super Silver Haze but expects it will be even better in quality.

MH#21xMM is designed to be the ultimate sativa plant, the absolute peak of quality high but still practical for the indoor grower with good yields and a not too long flower time around 12-14 weeks.

The Kushes - Super Kush and Gush
Super Kush is a cross of the two best Kush lines Nevil was able to obtain.
The mother of the Super Kush came from a cutting Nevil got from a friend in Australia, he's not sure what it is but it was an exceptional plant that reminded him strongly of the Kush4 x NL2 hybrid he used to make (sold by Sensi Seeds as Hindu Kush then copied by everyone else).

The same male was used in both crosses, and the male came from a Kush line from Jim Ortega, which was also exceptional. Jim doesn't call it anything other than Kush, we're not talking about using some modern hyped Cali 'Kush' here, we're talking heirloom authentic Kush from long before people began tacking the 'Kush' tag on all kinds of plants.

Nevil was well aware that the younger folks were quite obsessed with 'Kush' but also that they didn't really know what a proper Kush was so he decided to cater for their desires and give they a real, authentic Kush type. Therefore he crossed the two best Kush types he could find, that's Super Kush, so if you want to see what a real Kush type is like in form and flavour and high, then you'll find it there. A classical Afghan type Kush with the soft sweet mellow Kush taste.

Gush is a cross of a G13xHawaiian female to the Jim Ortega Kush male.
The Hawaiian is something Jim has had since the 80s, it's not the same as the Hawaiian Nevil used in the past. Nevil described it as a large yielding, very potent plant that wasn't strong in flavour. The G13xHawaiian mother he chose tasted like G13 i.e. hashy, typical Afghan type.

The Gush is intended to give you a bigger yielding Kush type. The G13xHaw mother yielded 60% more than the Kush mother and G13 x Kush worked well in the past - prime example being G13 x NL2 (NL2 was a Kush type) which is where the Pacific and Airborne G13s come from. This breed should give you a mix of plants that are very kushy or a mix of hashy and kushy, the hashy part from the G13xHaw.

Nevil intended these seeds to give people the best Kush type plants possible, he's saying 'hey, you guys talk about 'Kush' so much, here's some real bloody Kush to play with'. He tells me his next step with the Kush is to introduce NL5 to it as that's the best indica he's ever been able to find and should lead to some improved Kush types

Wow what an insane terminal cola! Crazy how much it stretches from the rest of the branches

anyways i guess we should not discuss these things in this thread anymore,
maybe you should start a new thread somewhere appropriate so those who wish to are free to discuss these issues.

so back on topic, I am just a few days away from starting 5 Kariba x MM, 5 NH36 x Oaxacan, and 5 Super Kush.
and i pollinated my MML x S5 girl with a NH21 x MMs.

WoW that really look nice but ive never seen a plant grow with a cola that tall

Man there seems to be hate running a muck on these forums lately. If you had a bad experience post it and be done. Let people make their own decisions.

Thanks for the pics. Bout to try some of this stuff out myself. Make my own decision.
