Sweet, can't believe the roots on the little ones. Killer
Thx for checking out the shots M.S.T.!!! Yeah those roots were surprisingly fast this time... ;)
Thx brah... :coolnice
Sup trugreens! I really appreciate the very kind words... :) About the Bud Candy... Are you referring to the use of it in soil vs hydro? If you plan on using it in hydro, then you need to add mycorrhizae to help process it and any organic fertilizers... White Shark is the best as it also contains beneficial bacteria.Looking real impressive so far, way to go man.
Didn't realize that Bud Candy could be used in two different ways. Need to write that one down. Everything else looks solid and those pics are amazing.
Really goes to show what a passionate grower can do when they love what they do and they do their research.
You're someone to watch Shady...nice!
:winking0067:
Thx buddy!!! They took about 1 week to come out the bottom... :( BTW, the Purple Kush is still not liking my soil mix. Ahhh, too bad you're in the bay area cuz I'd love to get my hands on your Ultra Violet cut...Lookin good brother :) How long did those shoots take to get those roots?
Very cool winta!!! It's gonna be a long ride as this grow is going perpetual... :icon_spin:lookin good my dude ill be ridin witya!
Hey Socachi... The SFV OG is the bean that I got in my previous round. As with any bagseed from a dispensary... :icon_dizzy: there's always a chance that it was a result of cross pollination.Shady digging your new round. That seed line up is killer. I see you have an SFV, did she come from clone. I've been trying to find some SFV seeds along with Pre 98 Bubba but haven't had any luck.
Hey CAPO! Man oh man... I wish I had more lights cuz I've got plenty of room. So far, the only way I'll be able to keep a "mother" is to constantly clone a plant and flower the "mother" cuz I don't have enough light to allow them to veg too large... :whewVariety is definitely "the spice of life"!
Your seed catalog is very impressive. I bet it's hard to keep mommies around after they start piling up.
Love those Shady shots, take good care of that camera!
Whaddup true grit! This one is gonna be a good journal... I've been re-reading yours and learnin' some good stuff. :friday:Looking good bro, can't wait to kick it for this round!! The last round finished up great!!
Ohh GoD... :giggle That's an honor and humbling to say the least... You're setup is killer!!! Definitely a Dream Garden...Nice Job Shady!! Set ups looking sick dude!!
Yeah the SFV is hangin' in there so far... To be honest, I'm gonna run out of room in the next 2 weeks and will have to make something happen by next month or these babies are gonna outgrow my Shady Veg Station before my Shady Bloom Room is even ready... :evilgrinSFV is a killer strain to have. Everything's looking good man.:hi: Can't wait to see what happens with those Raskal OG beans. Hell I'm excited to see what the Sensi skunk and the Blue hellfire x Kali mist(very interested in this one) turn out to be as well.
Woo Hoooo... You have no idea how happy I was when I finally fit that 3x3 in my car... :smiley_joint: I almost didn't make it out of the hydro shop, but now I'm golden... especially for Round 5, when I use that tray for a SOG hydro setup.Shady got his 3x3 which is exactly what he needs for this setup:') Let me know what you think of the smart pots. I can't complain, I just can't really compare either:( too hard to tell (hopefully yield will clear this up)...
Keeping an eye on this one now too! Lebster! Hopefully you'll go to one of the upcoming weed shows here and together we can find ourselves in possession of the ever prized Golden Tickets (all access judging tickets)!
Sup buddy! Yeah, I can't believe Section A is starting Week 5 today... Seems like Round 3 was just completed the other day. :itwasntmeSection A is starting to come up hard, and It looks like the frost is as well. Is your veg station equipped with t5's or t8's? That green LED headlamp will allow you to do work in the garden at night without worry if I'm not mistaken.
I am very interested to see the end product of your trellis man, and I am definitely digging the DIY ebb and flow tray. Great innovation. A DSLR would be tight to have. I bet your shots would be on a whole other level.
GoD damn, you just made my day, cuz I'm still dreaming about your gardens... :D Shit... I love gadgets. Anytime you need my help... just let me know.SICK! Pretty frigg'n organized there Shady!! Digg'n it!!
your pic's are badass! I need a camera lesson. lol!!
I dont do my D40x justice!
Thx LEBDOG... I def need to search a bit more, cuz this cut looks like it's gonna go 70 days at least... :DMay your Headband 707 be better than mine, I am sure it will! Due to the barely early harvest, I was unable to leech and my Headband 707 tasted like OG Hay:'(
Yeah... Thx for the confirmation M.S.T. I was just off on the timing cuz I had too much drain line that needed to be cut to length... The setup was correct and the same as yours. ;) As for the PM... I'll be fine as I battled it through Round 3...:fighting0040:Does your ebb n flow drain back through the pump after it stops? That's how mine works. I have tried xtra drainage but has never worked for me. Don't know if this helps any. I have a 2x3 botanicare tray I flood with 15 gal., It takes 5 min to flood and 5 min to drain. Here are the pump, tube and fitting I use. My drain is just in case the water gets that high, but the water always drains back through the pump after it shuts off.
Keep up the killer crop!
Yeah, I actually had it setup correctly... I was just impatient. The collar is just a plastic cylinder that extends the elevation of the drain. Therefore the overflow drain is just that... meaning no water flows in that drain unless there is an overflow. So the supply really is the main drain as well.I just need to grab a rez, pump, valves, and tubing. It looks to me like you have your valves set up correctly. what do you mean by collar?
It's just poor airflow from a half-assed setup... me being cheap and not getting a properly sized exhaust fan and using 2 smaller ones. When I finally get some money I'll be able to do it right. Until then I'm making certain priority upgrades as I evolve...Sorry to hear about the PM is that on the SFV? Do you think it was just airflow reasons or humidity reasons as well? I am liking your trellis. Great design. Can't wait to see it fill out and such.
I love the Smart Pots. They don't seem to dry out faster... just more evenly thoroughout. My only tip is to water very slowly and in a couple lifts to let the water absorb instead of coming out the sides too quickly. :coolNow that little picture of the Smart pot and the small root coming out got me really excited. How are those working out for you? I believe you have them in 3gal smart pots in a mix of 50/50 Happy frog/Light warrior? Do you notice the smart pots drying out faster then previous plastic pot grows with the same mix? What is it like watering those smart pots, got any tips? Man those interest me greatly.
Thx my friend... :itwasntme I actually got the idea from many other farmers here like Jackmayoffer, Rolln J, and LEBDOG, Garden of Dreams,... all use a similar variation of the PVC and screen.I'm likin ythe PVC idea more and more Shady, and everything looks awesome as usual.
Thx brother... That truly means a lot to me... coming from you. If you don't mind, I need to vent a little...Shady!!! Believe me Bro! Soon! Dig your style, Your organization and your attention to detail! I got your Resume and your GL's speak for themselves. Keep on keep'n on!!
Yea, I think I got the bunk schwankle and you probably got the real stuff=70-75 days (I think)! I was totally brown hairs at 42 days...Thx LEBDOG... I def need to search a bit more, cuz this cut looks like it's gonna go 70 days at least... :D
