Hey there LEBDOG, HighTolerance, M.S.T., supasticky, Justiceman, and any other shady lurkers out there...

I really appreciate the positive karma and good vibes! Seems like everything else besides my gardens are goin' bad...:anim_10: My Laptop died and I've been waiting for my unemployment checks for the last month and a half. Shitty having no ends since before Christmas. Most of Round 3 needed to become green if you know what I mean. Had plans for a 1k, but it looks like I'll need to get a 4x4 tent to veg some plants a bit bigger before I can pull the trigger. Gonna be borrowing a laptop until I can get some ends cuz I need to send out more resumes. Anyone need an excellent Construction Manager? :wondering

Hey Shady sorry to hear about the money matters, I know how it is. And unfortunately when it rains it pours. But fortunately the grow is going well and you're getting some green from it.

In regards to the grow tent have you looked at Craigs list? You might be able to find a good deal on there, I know I did for my setup. Or have you thought of taking some 2x3 and run it from floor to ceiling and enclose it with poly, that's what I did.

I like your screen man, I like those extensions too.

Thx Socachi... Yeah it seems as if it's one rainstorm after another... I will prevail though!!! :D. Hmmm, I'm very cautious about craig's list... I'll check, but I'd rather pay a small amount more for a new tent... Not that there's any refunds, but I'm sure I could negotiate a decent discount on a package deal with the lights if I ask very nicely. ;)

p.s. I made a mistake on an earlier post above... section B is in their 3rd wk. They were finally fed today along with the soil plants in the veg station. I'll post up picts as soon as I get back on a laptop. Also took a few clones of Double Underdawg #3, Chem's Sis #4, and the OG Kush today...

Sup GTD! thx for checking in brah... Those are actually 3 gal smart pots with Happy Frog and Light Warrior in a 1:1 ratio. I really wanted to go with 2 gal size and pack that table, but the sales guy talked me out of it.... Damn I hope he was right. :D I think I'll pack it with 2 gal smart pots and hydroton on the next run.

Yep pack the table and lil to no veg with them 2 gallon pots, since your using 3gal with less plants>>just veg a lil longer to compensate:)

Lookin good man, I really like the ebb/flo veg tub. am really leanng toward setting up an ebb/flo for my entire grow. The screen looks identical to mne. How dd you lke un-winding that nylon netting. t took me longer to un tangle mne than t did to install it lol The ladies look good, nice lollipopping Bro.

Well, I finally got a laptop to replace my old one. Got to reinstall the OS on the old and every software on both… A fresh start so to speak. Okay, I’m gonna jump around a bit in this update to keep things exciting…

Last week I fed the Section B plants on 2/9/10 the following bloom mix for their 3rd week:

Section B
Summary of Monday’s Soil Section Feedings... 2/9/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal: CM:4/BC:3/HH:3/PBP Bloom:12 = 1069 PPM, 6.34 pH *Start of Wk #3


Both sections were watered on Thursday with only 2 ml/gal of CalMag or approximately 200 PPM… Then I fed both Section A and B plants the following mixes yesterday:

It’s also been one week since I’ve been runnin’ my Shady DIY Ebb ‘n Flow. I must say everything is working perfect. I cut a plastic egg crate and used it as a base to keep the pots from sitting in any standing water…

I took several clones from each of these top 3 strains last week and should be seeing some roots in the next few days. Here are some shots from last week showing my simple cloning process; a really acute angle cut under water and then immediately dipped into rooting hormone…

Then I just spike them gently until they stick in the Rapid Rooters, cover the dome and leave a bit of tea at the bottom…

P.S. All the plants were hit with BioNeem for the last time in the Shady Bloom Room last night. The Shady Veg Station was hit as well... I've also been using Hot Shots No Pest Strips for the last couple nights as well. So far the aphids are dwindling in numbers and are more of a nuisance than causing any serious damage...

sup shady see you are using neem,what do you think of it so far it think it is amazing stuff wiped out all pests i had in 2 weeks ,mites and gnats the later was harder to rid as i didn use the neem as a root drench was kind of worried about its affects on the benificials in the soil so for the drench i used gnat off worked a treat,but the neem knocked the mites for six haven seen one since and that was 2 months ago so it def worked for me and it should work with your aphid's too

I could be wrong, I don't have a clear recollection; but I have 2 pot sizes and the smaller pots (2-3 gallon) are yielding taller plants than the 5 gallon ones. I had no idea the 2-3 gallon smart pots could contain a 4'+ plant! All my largest cola's are also from the 2-3gallon pots...
