Shady Bud Shots...

sup shady see you are using neem, what do you think of it so far it think it is amazing stuff wiped out all pests i had in 2 weeks ,mites and gnats the later was harder to rid as i didn use the neem as a root drench was kind of worried about its affects on the benificials in the soil so for the drench i used gnat off worked a treat, but the neem knocked the mites for six haven seen one since and that was 2 months ago so it def worked for me and it should work with your aphid's too
master kush x bubba kush is lookin good bro as is that mystery kush #2 looks good to what is it do you think or where did you come across ? looks dank bro
Sup Doc! I was thinkin' the same thing and haven't done a soil drench... I used Predator Nematodes and they have def help git rid of the root aphids, but I'd like to do a soil drench cuz they are still not 100% eradicated. Thx for the tip on the Gnat Off drench!

Yeah that Mystery Kush looks fantastic... very similar buds compared to the Master x Bubba, but def different leaf structure... Not sure of the origins as it was gifted to me. :smiley_joint:

Lookin real good in there man, they are just glowing green, great work.
Hey Big Buddy! :big_boss: I really appreciate the kind words... especially after lurking in your bad ass gardens!!!

DIY flood tables......nice!

Love that double trellis!!
Hell Yeah CAPO!!! Keeping things real simple for now... :smirk

Yo Shady, everything looks amazing, especially the mystery kush.

Yo HT!!! Thx brah... I'm very happy so far. How's your garden lookin' right now? I bet you got some major frost too... :cool

lookin very productive my dude! that mystery kush look rockin!
Thx winta! Now I'm starting to regret not taking any cuts of that Mystery Kush... :itwasntme

I had great luck with HOTSHOTS on my first grow. Killed everything. Unfortunately too late! You got a lot going on as usual Shady, but glad to see you rocking the tray now!
Sup LEBDOG! I love the Botanicare tray for sure... Hmmm, did you use the strips only at night or leave them in during the day too? :hunter:

LMAO... No worries buddy, I'm just looking forward to good karma and kind buds at harvest time... :harvest:

Shady Bud Shots…

I couldn’t resist taking a few more photos just before lights out and then a few more after the HPS turned-off.

Section A
I’ll start with the SFV OG which is still struggling a bit as well as the Purple Kush (not pictured), all of the remaining plants are looking great…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/SFVOG-3.jpg

Hmmm, I didn’t take any clones from the SFV OG or the Mystery Kush #2 since they were bagseed and their genetics couldn’t be confirmed. Sort of a mistake on the Mystery Kush cuz it def looks badass…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/MysteryKush2-1.jpg

Luckily, took several cuts of the Master x Bubba…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/MasterxBubba-1.jpg

And I did the same with the 707 Headband
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/707Headband-1.jpg

LMFAO… I broke my small glass measuring cup last week and picked up a cool replacement that def won’t break.

Section B
Alright, now for some flash shots of the SCROG…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/SectionBScrog0.jpg

If you look carefully you can see the tops of Section A in the background. I plan on lowering the upper screen as soon as the stretch slows down…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/SectionBScrog1.jpg

Chemdog’s Sister #1 was a triploid, but one of her clones isn’t showing polyploidy traits…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ChemdawgsSister10.jpg

Here’s a diff angle of her cola…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ChemdawgsSister11.jpg

And just for grins, here’s the 707 Headband’s clone in the center of the 3x3 SCROG…

Sup HT!!! Well, I posted the following chart in my last journal, but didn't get many comments... Let's try this again and hopefully we'll see Chemdog or JJ-NYC comment... :lipssealed

Thx brah! I really hope these girls fatten up, but I did some serious supercropping several weeks ago so that may create more, but smaller bud sites... We shall see in the end though... :passingjoint:

Hmmm, while I'm in chart mode I thought I'd post my mind map on Photosynthesis and Oxidative Respiration for those interested in the science behind things...

OH Hell Yeah that lineage chart answers my question, thanks a lot for this. May I ask the source for this.

Seems like the diagram is from your "Metabolic Pathways Class." Brings back old memories of memorizing and understanding the pathways. I only studied plants pathways for 4 months and the rest was all human. While the thread is in chart mode, here is a summary of the pathway for wheat endosperm, quite interesting for a proteomic analysis. Proteomic analysis for cannabis are slowling building up till we can start seeing various pathways specific for cannabis, dang funding is so damn tight, slowing down all a lot of good research.

As I mentioned when I first posted the Family Tree in Round 3, :icon_dizzy: I totally can't remember which site I downloaded it from, but I def want to credit the original creator that spent the time to put it together...

there's a similar thread on IC Mag where there's lots of hesitance as to whether or not these relationships are true. I have a strain spreadsheet that i've been maintaining for a while, here's what i have as far as the chems. I am very very interested in some confirmation of any of these crosses; there's a whole bunch of 'chatter' across the web, but nothing as trustworthy as these farm pros.

Hmmm, I respectfully disagree... If you are serious about cultivating and crossing of course its important, but even for a casual personal grow, it's nice to know the history and lineage of the genetics... Especially when you form a bond with your ladies... :inlove

Shady Details…

Today I fed all of the soil plants on the bottom shelf of the Shady Veg Station. I should have done this yesterday cuz they were very thirsty and hungry. Here’s a quick shot after the feeding where you can see the 18 gal res for the ebb ‘n flow tray on the 2nd shelf…

Shady Veg Feedings…
Summary of Wednesday’s Soil Section Feedings... 2/17/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal:
Veg Station - CM:4/LK:0/Sweet:4/PBP Grow:6 = 700 PPM, 6.40 pH

Here’s a quick shot of the 3 Raskal’s OG in the front row…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/RaskalsOG-1.jpg

Yesterday I added a small oscillating fan to hit the lower canopy and raised the large white fan to hit the upper canopy. I’m running the small fan 24/7…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ShadyBloomRoom0-1.jpg

Then I temporarily raised the light to its maximum height to double check my clearances…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ShadyBloomRoom2-1.jpg

And it matches my original design measurements…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ShadyBloomRoom3-1.jpg

At lights out on the Shady Bloom Room, I watered all the soil plants (including the soil plants in the Shady Veg Station) with Great White to add mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria.

:thinking
And since I’m in the biology mode, here’s an interesting scientific paper on salinity and mycorrhizae:

I see what your are saying. I guess there are many type of growers, there is little people like me who grow three lil ladies at a time just for me. And then there is you, a muhfuhin BIG DOG, I mean look at your damn genetic line up bro, it's fukin nuts. But then again you are no average grower bro, and it wouldn't make sense if someone like you didn't follow stains' genetics as closely.
