Sup Bro! Hell yeah... I love ebb 'n flow for simplicity. Someday it would be fun to play with an Undercurrent though. Hahaaa that net was a pain in the ass to unravel... :icon_dizzy:
Shady Staggering...
Well, I finally got a laptop to replace my old one. Got to reinstall the OS on the old and every software on both… A fresh start so to speak. Okay, I’m gonna jump around a bit in this update to keep things exciting…
Last week I fed the Section B plants on 2/9/10 the following bloom mix for their 3rd week:
Shady Bloom Feedings…
Section B
Summary of Monday’s Soil Section Feedings... 2/9/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal: CM:4/BC:3/HH:3/PBP Bloom:12 = 1069 PPM, 6.34 pH *Start of Wk #3
Both sections were watered on Thursday with only 2 ml/gal of
CalMag or approximately 200 PPM… Then I fed both Section A and B plants the following mixes yesterday:
Section A
Summary of Monday’s Soil Section Feedings... 2/16/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal: CM:3/BC:5/HH:0/PBP Bloom:15 = 1114 PPM, 6.30 pH *Start of Wk #6
Section B
Summary of Monday’s Soil Section Feedings... 2/16/10
The resulting teas are as follows in ml/gal: CM:3/BC:5/HH:0/PBP Bloom:14 = 967 PPM, 6.35 pH *Start of Wk #4
Okay now for the Section A bud shots:

Alright… now let’s check out Section B and the SCROG status:
A quick shot of the telescoping screen and top canopy stretching through the lower screen…

Now an elevation view showing the upper telescoping screen…

Last but not least a different perspective…

Okay… I said I was gonna run Double Underdawg #2 again just to make sure I could do her some justice…

It’s also been one week since I’ve been runnin’ my Shady DIY Ebb ‘n Flow. I must say everything is working perfect. I cut a plastic egg crate and used it as a base to keep the pots from sitting in any standing water…

Here’s the tray at the beginning of the flood cycle…

And near the end…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/EbbnFlow4.jpg
The side farthest from the drain (also the highest elevation) holds all the seedlings and gets a decent flood depth…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/EbbnFlow5.jpg
The seedlings are doing great…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/Round4Seedlings1.jpg
And the clones on the side nearest the drain are making some progress as well…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/Clones1.jpg
With some good timing, the canopy should stay level for a little bit…

Here’s a close-up of each seedling strain’s #2 pheno…

Remember the OG Kush I cloned near the end of Round 3? Here she is after finally being topped last week…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/OGKush.jpg
My next fav is the Double Underdawg #3…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/DoubleUnderdawg3-1.jpg
The next keeper is
Chemdog’s Sister #4…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ChemsSis4.jpg
I took several clones from each of these top 3 strains last week and should be seeing some roots in the next few days. Here are some shots from last week showing my simple cloning process; a really acute angle cut under water and then immediately dipped into rooting hormone…
http://i808.invalid.com/albums/zz2/ShadyRound4/Round%204/ClonesOGDUDCS0.jpg
Then I just spike them gently until they stick in the Rapid Rooters, cover the dome and leave a bit of tea at the bottom…

:weed-sign:
P.S. All the plants were hit with BioNeem for the last time in the Shady Bloom Room last night. The Shady Veg Station was hit as well... I've also been using Hot Shots No Pest Strips for the last couple nights as well. So far the aphids are dwindling in numbers and are more of a nuisance than causing any serious damage...
