great stuff, thanks for sharing. in the right hands all light can produce great cannabis. your's is proof as others here is as well. but you guys tend to be more seasoned or at least willing to read and self educate so you know the ins and outs of the lights, proper grow rooms set up, heat issues the whole bang. which is great, but the lights target those that are new and less educated. like any tool in the right hands you gonna get the results! take my job as retired porn star. it had its ups and downs sure! but it was a fun ride all the way to the top and back down again, they said i lacked the proper tool and well that cut it short and type cast me into these lower bottom roles which i felt were behind my acting talents cause i was sure i had the right tools for the job. in the end i turned to smoking dust with other rejects and huffing paint on sundays, screw a day worship when your trying to get your ass to the ava am right? long story short after two long days in the biz as we call it, i sold my tool one last time to a unsuspecting buying who couldn't really operate it anyway and hit the road back to my home planet. i lit a fatty and cranked up the clutch as we hit overdrive and a king was born oh yea!!

here's more of my 2 cents worth here to SF

if your looking to get some real time info and get into the game with the likes of HLG let's just say for a gen...... since your price point is up there..........

you may want to send MMI a sf4000 he did open the door to you all to do a side by side run that sf4000 at the end of the day, with shipping to him it is less then a c/note $100.00 to you all. he talks your talk since he has been in sales...... he doesn't bs about lighting and he does pull alot of weight around here..........

the other would be Aguaman........ he runs a HLG and knows his shit.......... you should try and get a SF4000 into his hands also..... there's a few others here that would be good but I would diff go after those 2

You are right. More experienced should be able to increase yields as this is my first grow. I had 3.5 ft plants and had adequate light penetration through veg. It really surprised me. Now growing a monster would not suffice but 2-3fters is doable with good results. I will point out that I had 10 watts per sq ft in my room and produced some really nice flower. Very low but made it work. Weight is there and I see room for my improvements to better yield next time around. I am not saying they are the best, but I am proof that they will work to produce some quality flower. I will upgrade in future but in the meantime I will make this work and make sure I post pics : ) If they dont send a quantum board, maybe I will. If they do not send the pros a set, I will on my next order for my new grow room. I would love to see what can be produced in the seasoned hand's.
your on point.... there's no shame in your game...Keep it up Bro/sis just to make sure LOL🧐😎😇😎

Rock you plants as hard as they will let you..... Keep up the good work............................

I use quantum boards with LM301b's similar to SF lights and get great results. Now mind you my room is 11x15 so heat is not an issue. I sit at 22c with 8x sf 2000 with lights on and 20.5 off. I know a few others that grow with SF's and get half p per plant minimum in DWC. It is all about canopy penetration. My new grow room will have lights just below canopy on sides of grow room for maximum growth along with RDWC 15 pot system. I am getting about 1\4 p to half p per plant under Quantum's. All in organic soil.. Here is a pic to see for yourself. Good yields for a LED board. I am flushing now and are tightening up everyday. Still about 10 days to go. Tric's are starting to go milky and about 2-3% amber.

Maybe you can try our lights next time!!!! We promise that you will like our lights lol

I need another QB but why buy yours for twice the price of other chinese lights..?
If you are talking about Kingbrite, The one year warranty is the deal breaker for me, plus a lot of these vendors are sketchy, might pan out good if you want to gamble but I've never been one for that.

because they use samsung LM301B/H chips and meanwell drivers which are more expensive, go check the cheap chinese lights most use SMD led chips and cheap drivers 👍
True but it seems many of the eco farm models are using samsung chips as well for a much lower cost.

I don't know of anyone that has used these lights & they copied a par read from the SF4000 to use on one of their units which seems pretty shady to me.
Plus, not all Samsung chips are equal.

Just look at the parts list and wattage output and you can see sf uses cheaper red and uv diodes and less watts than the competition. Same as mars like their crappy sell to noobs business model.

And then we can get into unmatched and lower bin diodes and of course a less powerful driver.

But they put a nice dimmer knob on to get your attention away from that stuff.

All to lower manufacturing costs but they still charge a premium.

None of this means it wont grow plants. Showing a pic of a plant and claiming very high yield is not proof of anything.

Prove you got 1000 grams out of 450 watts. ;-)

The dimmer knob keeps trying to distract me from those chintzy cable hangers on the corners and how they sacrifice head room for dead space 🙃

that is one of my personal goals as a new grower. is to be a tester for some better known breeders out there. with growing i quickly noticed it was like so many other endeavors in life, weakest link in the chain type deals. so before i threw more good money after bad, i stepped back and looked for those links. catching some is easier than others of course. like beginner mistakes, weak equipment, poor room design etc. knock a few of these off the list and then look for the weak links before they become a issue, heat, RO, cooling, smell, waste, etc and correct those when you can. take your time and consider each step as a end game. point of me writing this is why i ditched Q boards from china. i was getting what i considered to be good results? now consider how much i do not know about growing, and you can see why i choose to punt em in favor of a US made light by US workers and warranty i trust 100%. are my results looking better? you bet! also i lowered my wattage pull at the wall, lowered my temps and my RH, saving hours on the humidifier and AC units. bigger better cola's with more flowers on each plant with superior light penetration. i like that i can order my lights tuned to my liking, 3k-3.5.-4K etc being stuck with numbers that are generic. quicker flower times and less herm's IMO due to that quicker flip and less stress. i could go on but i did a big dab and lost my train,,, i guess it was something like why all the brand loyalty? it's not a personal thing, so there is never a need to defend a company. let them and their products do that. i read some of these comments when it comes to lights and testing etc on here and other forums and cats and kittens act like i will say anything for a free light. SMFH so your price is a 169.00 on amazon to lie? WTF or back to the testing point of this, i'm never offended when i get passed over for testing new high end beans. why, because i'm not ready to be a tester and i know that. i can not offer the grower any real feedback good or bad and the buyer may in fact get screwed due to that. i feel these light companies operate in the opposite fashion, here's a light say nice things. in summation cannabis should never come in plastic

I've seen your work and trust me you're qualified to test beans for any breeder. Lots of people with little to no experience get in on it. I've done it a few times mostly with Bodhi, Barneys Farm, and private breeders trying to make a name for themselves. Once for Greenpoint too and that was probably my best experience at testing. Bodhi publishes lists from time to time and for Greenpoint all it takes is to get on his email list then when he has something ot test he emails people on the list.
To me testing was fun and cool at first but after a while I got to the point where my room should be for me and nobody else unless it was a strain or cross already on my radar.
All it takes is one bad experience to turn me off. I grew a cut, it was trash and had a mutation in the genetics but the breeder still put it out to market. After that I was like "what's the point in testing if they still put the crap to market anyways?"
These days I breed my own and test my own and could'nt be happier about it.😋

I also really enjoyed and have much respect for your comment about US made LED lights as it's how I feel too. Been there and done that with the Chinese lights and it's not fun.
I've bought into USA made for several years now and two of the better companies, Fluence and Illumitex are in my hometown. Yeah there's some pride in knowing some lights I have put food on the table of my neighbors and there's something cool about checking out some R&D a mere bike ride away. And yeah they cost much more than something out of Shenzen. But what's really cool is some lights I bought in 2012 are still kicking ass today and work like new. Lights I have made in California are on their 5th year with no sign of decline either. Cant say that about a lot of the Chinese stuff ✌

The 4 point hanger can be reduced to 2 if there's a sliding collar on the cables to balance it out. There would be a loop above the collar and you would slide the cables to get it balanced. It still takes away some headroom but not quite so much.
Looks something like this which GC uses on their CMH. This light needs this type of hanger on it's back end to balance and level the light

The other way and would be what I would want to see goes back to the R&D of the light to design an integrated A hanger to make it a 2 point contact. But this would also probably force SF to adjust the placement of the driver and dimmer, even possibly removing them from the panel, to get the light balanced with only two points.
I've built custom T5HO lights using these and it takes some time to get it just right and centered but IMO it's worth it since headroom is some of the most valuable real estate in the g/room😉
