I have certainly had my share of close calls. Grandma wasnt illegal but that didnt stop her from taking me out 10+ years ago. Tore a few ligaments, broken bones and a pretty gnarly concussion, but meh... keep on keepin on.

Love the marbles, used to always make sure I had change in my pocket. Just so hard to reach. Mostly I just use my exhaust as a weapon.

Sea, I dont know the backstory, but it sounds like Son is trying to reach out... take the hand he is offering. Putting a few calluses on it sounds like a good trade. just my .02

I gotta get the darn composts turned into the garden. Tiller still not up and I been putting off doing this by hand. working on that this morning.

Hot chicks...
Special meat chicken, A very special type of French culinary meat chicken that blows the standard Cornish Cross away...
These chickens take longer to grow, allowing the flesh to fully and properly develop.
We custom mix our own feed free from GMO and medication's.
You won't find these anywhere else like I say if you want to do things right... Do it yourself....
Free to roam, chase bugs, nice life. the Cornish Cross are bred to eat shit and die, they don't stray far from feeder and will actually eat so much so fast they die due to rapid growth...
See how the waters are close to the brooder lamps, keeps water warm as cold water zaps energy.
Give them a good start and they will thrive, just like us humans...

Seamaiden....I hope your relationship with your son grows into something you both treasure because in my life nothing even comes close to the happiness my 2 daughters bring to me and my life. Perhaps he is at the point in his life to move forward and meet you somewhere in the middle moving forward:-)

Barely any sleep last night for me....was up until 3AM cloning and my little mini toy poodle had to go in for surgery this morning so I did not sleep much worrying about that:-// Sure hope he comes through OK as he is the most shiny light around here with his happy happy joyful self. I do not know how I could handle it if for some reason things do not go well for him today.....! I love my German shepherd as much as the air I breath but my little Bubby is mine and my whole families sunshine.

Lovely day out there though and much work to be done so off to the salt mines for me! Seize the day all you lovely people... it is yours to make it your own:-)

Holy shit man Steel Reserve 211 beer is awesome! Finally got like 10 hours sleep after downing a tall boy and gorging on some hot dogs and nachos. Must be the high gravity brewing process.

Good morning folks. Today I will be building a brooding pen for my broody Wyandotte (which, according to Storey's, is a bantam breed). I've stuck another 7 eggs under her as the week's progressed, now she'll get her own safe space with her own feed & water (that's gonna be a pain in the ass, we have an automatic waterer for the bulk of the birds, so now I go back to hauling water).

I believe, and @chickenman will confirm or dispel this idea, that as long as I keep my birds on a 16hr daylight photoperiod, that I'm going to be pushing them to stop laying sooner because they're laying year-round with the supplemental lighting instead of going into molt and stopping during that time. So I believe that I will need to have birds to rotate in and out of the laying flock, and it kinda seems to me that in order to do that I should raising up a few new chicks annually. ALSO, we've been talking about doing birds for meat for a while now, so we can butcher the birds we don't want to keep in the flock. All will be pure Ameracaunas, sired by Charlemagne. I think he is SUCH a beautiful bird, and he will have not a fucking THING to do with me. That's alright, I just need him to take care of the flock and sire pretty birdlets.

Charlemagne has a comb, but no wattles, he has a beard, instead. Hella sexy.

Here, you can have some of our 'spring'. Usual first frost date is May 5. I wouldn't be surprised if we see NO more cold weather from this point out. 70s, in MARCH???

Wow...trimming is all done, most all other choirs are done as well and its FRIDAY!! Pretty much means its time to party. Gonna fry my marble and watch Basketball all weekend. Beautiful outside right now but supposed to have a storm move in and be shitty for the next few days. Ah, spiring in Colorado.
Could go make a run for supplies to Home Depot and the grow store but I think I'll just sit here and smoke.
Here is to a great weekend Farmers.

He is doing GREAT and thank you for asking!!! They had to remove 2 of his salivary glands and he is only about 5 pounds but they said that he did great and should not have any more problems with this after the nasty drain comes out early next week. I am a tried and true big shaggy dog lover but circumstances brought him into our lives when he was just a tiny guy that would literally fit in a tea cup and if anyone ever said I would own a mini toy poodle I would have told them they were crazy:-) He is the most wonderful personality though...absolutely alpha and the total boss of the 11o lb intact male German shepherd and the of 120 lb mastiff mix before him. He sleeps between my husbands and my pillow, he hangs out under my desk in his bed when I am on the computer and follows me around everywhere I go humping the male German shepherds tail all day long who also follows me everywhere I go...not my favorite part of his personality but there it is! He is a total character and we love him more than words can say!

Another busy day here in the beautiful Columbia Gorge...sunshine and so much work to do I can't even get it all on my lists! It will all get done though and that is what is important. So happy spring is here with lengthening days and the lovely sunshine!

Well, late swing through, but busy day starts early & lasts til the light is gone.

Killed a coop raiding possum(that had 10 young babies in her!), cleaned out the coop, the garden beds & all my old buckets.
Glad to report my adored green girl (that the rats stripped of her leaves) is throwing out new ones like mad! It's a bit heavy on the leafing, but still a mere baby... and a recovering one, so I'm encouraging her. Hope to practice my cloning with her, so she can go all godzilla big... wont hurt my feelings one bit. Nope.

I really wish some smart techy would invent a gaming system that you wear like a helmet for a 3d kinda game... & have it give nice little neck massages between rounds. Titalfall is giving my body aches. I guess that's my cue...
...better get back to it before I pass out!!

*wink~ grins*
