I just got Ed and pretty sure I’m gonna get Jorge ! Lol I haven’t read a book in years but this is way better than any other love story!Ed rosenthal or jorge? Im grabbing one off amazon as we speak.
If i didnt have prior positive results with roots organics, i would not be making this switch. I have new seeds, new plastic pots and new methods help remotivate.
O worries man ur being to hard on urself we have all done it ! More than once !I guess the biggest thing with me,

uhm...... probably 90000404949 other people that i just cant remember to mention(you know who u are).
This is the list of people that have tried to help me change something so simple, watering habits. Its been a couple months here now, and im STILL Working on the same issue i had here on day one. No, im not saying that list of people didnt help, im saying i just cant fucking get it, its getting discouraging. I literally have a team and more of people that have gone out of there way to help, and i just cant fucking get it. It makes you really not want to do the shit anymore, but.... You should know how i am by now.. and i continue to say it.. and will try to continue to say it......But im not giving up... as much as i want to.. i wont.. i just wont give up.
I have an ed rosenthal book, but it doesnt go to much into watering. I need like a in depth guide on watering. :(
Its like 3 months of a stupid watering issue that i cant seem to fucking grasp. -.- Its just very frustrating sometimes. Lol, i always get back up for another punch, im never down for the Ten count. sometimes like an 8 count. But i get back up.O worries man ur being to hard on urself we have all done it ! Before you ditch the plant you are talking about do this. If your new plastic pots are bigger than the 1 gallon fabric it is in, up pot your plant and just switch to the Roots Organics soil and get your plant into a new home. When you remove it from the 1 gallon, take time to pour some water over the root ball, no nutes, just ph'd tap water to try to expose some roots. Then put it in the new pot and water it in using a water bottle. Slow pouring it in the get all the air out and get the roots reset. Usually about 1/4 of pot capacity.I have some Sweet Soma Seeds, im going to be germinating and planting in plastic pots in pure root organics. going to steer away from the fabric also as i watered qwith 1/4 of a gallon of water in 1 gallon pot, and i had about 50% of it become run-off due to water pouring out of the sides. so 1/4 of a gallon of water in a 1 gallon pot. 50% runs out of the sides, leaving like an 1/8th of the pot sizes water in the pot.
Plants overwatered.
I cant even give the plant 1/8th of its pot size without drooping.
Im starting to think you guys dont actually give your plants water because water just doesnt work. What do you guys give em? soda? Chocolate milk? Thinking about grilling a steak, cutting it into cubes amending it in the soil and seeing if the dumb plant likes that. (Lmao... ugh....)

Then walk away from it. Don't touch it, don't move it, don't turn it. Just leave it alone and let it recover. In a week you, should be able to give it a small water and see it come back to life. Do your self a favor and go buy a gallon of milk, drink it or pour it down the drain, and buy a bottle of water. Now you have what you need to replicate your waterings EVERY TIME. No more guessing. when it comes to water amounts or nutrient mixing.
You got this Cozmo, I would not ditch that plant till it turned completely brown from stalk to stem, you do have others growing and almost ready to go in flower. The knowledge you gain from this is something you will not find in a book.

how Important is air temp and humidity, I know you keep a consistent environment pretty good.I like the jorje book for growing, nutrient and water/soil info and the rosenthal book for systems and technical info.
The jorje book has some misinformation from old school growers but is mostly an excellent guide and easy to read in my opinion. I followed it on my first grow ever and was pretty successful. Got 15 oz dry really nice buds from 5 northern light autos under a 400mh and then a 600hps in happy frog soil and 25% added perlite mix.

What about water temp and ph? I am realizing vinegar is a bad ph tool, it’s not stable enough, I only ph water for the clone machine, my nutes bring my water to 6.5-6.8 naturally. It’s 7-7.2.
I use a 200ml syringe with a long tube to water, it’s really slow some of my pots take 8-10 syringes to have enough runoff, even the small 3 inch pots will take a full 200 ml for runoff.
But it forces me to water slowly, i don’t squirt it out forcefully I run it gently around the plant, I don’t see much run off out the sides of my fabric pots this way, I stop watering when it comes out the sides, and slow down more, it’s easy to get dry pockets. All of my plants harvested have had dry pockets. Every one!
It takes me a couple hours to water my plants, and I don’t have a whole bunch. Well, during that time I’m also looking the plants over for bugs, balls, mold, getting a feel of what they need, telling them they are pretty and doing a great job lol. I also use the same nutes for everything, but I add different amounts of nutes along with the water for each plant now.
Great info MMG, right on point.I keep temp and humidity stable for my whole house with 70 pint dehumidifiers and a 6 gallon humidifier. I want the veg tent with t-5 flourescents 72-74 degrees and the flower room 75-77. I read light intensity should dictate temps so I kind of follow that.
Humidity for the whole house and open basement is 45-60%.
I water with a 20oz plastic cup i find i can control coverage over the pot well with it.
I scratch the surface up and then I pour 2 cups gently and evenly first to get the soil wet and absorbent. Then just evenly water til runoff.
I like to wet the soil with a couple cups fresh water before fertilizing too.
Got you! I figured, 1 gallon to 3 gallon pot would fill out the formula u gave me earlier, for 1/3 of the pots size. I left 1/4 gallon left just incase i didnt do enough, or did need to add a little extra. I did use a quarter gallon to water my 1 gallon pots. They seemed to have turned out nice, i mean, its only been about 30 mins, but my plants would usually already curl up and show signs. so were off on a right path so far.Sit back and let it do its thing. Not a lot of run off after 6 days I bet it was gasping for air. Give it 4-6 hours before you go back and look. Should see improvement. Then pour in whats left of the gallon jug and leave it be till tomorrow.
