Feb. 20th... Pistils appeared on Mar. 3. I don't start counting till I see pistils... I've only got a few grows and they all transition at a diff pace. I've never seen a male plant. I've only bought feminized seeds.

I didn't know you had to wait for them to go to flower to tell the sex. I thought there was a way to know beforehand
Even with me counting from when the pistils show it'll still probably be 10 weeks before she's ready. It says 8 week flower time but every grow I've done has taken 2-3 weeks longer than what they say

Males usually show in the first week or 2 for sure.

I mean there must be a reason so many people scrog and top multiple times indoors, because the buds will fatten up more if they all get more light by being evenly distributed. I do outdoor and I usually top once, maybe twice, but mostly because my climate is not kind to gigantic colas. I Ieft a couple natural last season and of course mold kicked my ass... but that's to be expected outdoors. The ones I paid more attention to, topping, training, significant defoliating, had more larger buds throughout, the ones I left natural had more larf... which I'm fine with cause I make edibles. My biggest yielder was 2 and a half pounds, she was left natural and would have made a lovely Christmas tree... but at least a half pound of that was larf. So I'd say, it depends on your circumstances. The plant can only put out what the genetics and environment allow, weather it's spread across a few giant buds or several smaller ones, doesn't make much difference in my opinion.

That's just how equatorial sativas grow; Indoor with12-12 light they can take 20 weeks to finish.

Fair enough... Makes sense on every level. At the risk of sounding stupid... Is larf an acronym and if so what? I can figure out what's being discussed just wondering about the name.

I got another 300 watt light for the canopy bottom... I like it... I couldn't stand having it on only 1 side.... Was driving me bananas. More trichs appeared on all the buds over the course of the day!!! Fucking exciting stuff!!!!!
