how important is a RO for hydro??

lol you guys.. Fighting over RO vs Tap is silly. Tap can work fine depending on where it comes from. I can attest to that because I've been on straight tap now for over two years and my yields and quality are never better. However, thats in one small part of the world.. if I move somewhere...

    Upgrade Time (4k 2 8XL Co2)

I have one of those. On mine there are two wires marked on the instead, one for 120v the other for 240v. Just switch only that wire. I don't know how else to tell you, thats all I do. Mine does use the same plug.. however on a different ballast I recently had to switch out the older style plug...

    Feeding Coco

Just saying the bigger the pot, the more substrate to hold water. In coco its not as necessary.. but I can't say for sure because I don't know how big your plants are or what kind of pots youre using.

Bird's Nest Coco from Roots Organics, a Review

I actually have some of the sunleaves stuff now that is similar. I'm actually liking it because it DOESN'T hold water like regular coco. I prefer multiple waterings a day and regular coco holds to much water to do that. I have to mix so much perlite in it I would just assume use something like...

    Feeding Coco

5 gallon pots are BIG pots when it comes to coco. So unless you're plant is in the 1# plus range it won't need it as often. With coco I try to stick with the smallest pot I can get away with and water many times a day.

Definately they do. I have seen spiders and webs and even got a few bites from working. They do no harm though.. since they eat bugs I figure they can do more good than bad.

Lucas formula and tds/ppm meter question, HELP!

I would NEVER run that hot in rockwool. To answer your question.. just use EC. I mean the TDS reading is just the meter converting the EC number to something else. I have run exactly what you're doing.. rockwool with regular lucas. For me, I would never go higher than 1.3 EC or so. (Which...

    Oscillating fan method during flowering

the dehuey sits on the ground and blows like a fan towards the bottoms. It doesn't oscillate though.. and I've never checked the RH inside the branches like that though. I shall give it a try and see. During lights on I prefer many fans running at low speed, above and below, so I'm covered...

how important is a RO for hydro??

I'm with you lex.. I used RO for years until I really started thinking about the waste (and the water/sewage bill) so I experimented with tap. There was no difference in taste of yield. In fact, my record yield was with tap. For me.. the only downside to tap is the buffers they put in it for pH...

    Oscillating fan method during flowering

I keep my regular fans on during lights on, and a dehumidifier on during lights off. If not, the humidity jumps way up.
