Notes from the chart

  • Amounts are mL per US gallon. Cali Pro A and B each get the amount shown.
  • Emerald Harvest says the chart suits all growing media in recirculating or drain-to-waste systems.
  • Fill the reservoir with water, then add nutrients. Don't premix concentrated nutrients.
  • Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk (not in the calculator): 2 to 5 mL per gallon when needed, on plain-water days only, and not in the same watering.
  • Ideal water temperature is 60 to 72°F (16 to 22°C).

What growers here actually run

From the THCFarmer archive

  • Prefers the Cali-Pro 2-part to the 3-part line and usually runs it at half strength or less of the chart.

    Deadstill Read the post →
  • Mixes the reservoir at about 1,200 PPM each Monday and tops it off with plain water through the week, so it's under 500 PPM by the end of the week.

  • Outdoors in supersoil, per 50 gallons of water: Cali Pro A and B at 200 mL, Emerald Goddess 200 mL, Honey Chome and Root Wizard 180 mL each, for 900 PPM at pH 6.5.

Common questions

Cali Pro or Grow Micro Bloom?

Both are Emerald Harvest base lines with the same add-on schedule. Cali Pro is 2-part: A and B each get the amount shown. Grow Micro Bloom is 3-part, which lets you change the ratio yourself. Use the switch at the top of the calculator.

Do I need King Kola, Honey Chome and the rest?

No. The base carries the nutrition. Untick the add-ons in the calculator to see the base on its own.

What about Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk?

Emerald Harvest lists both at 2 to 5 mL per gallon when needed, from early veg through late flower, and recommends them on plain-water days only. Don't use Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk in the same watering.

Why does the calculator start at 75 percent?

Members here often run Emerald Harvest at half strength or less, and Emerald Harvest itself says to watch for stress on a more aggressive feeding program. 75 percent is a middle start. Drop it if you see burnt tips.

Still not sure? Ask the growers.

Post your nutrients, how much you're feeding, your medium and a photo. Members who've run Emerald Harvest will tell you what they'd change.
